And I was pleased we didn't storm the court. The chant is even worse. They clearly weren't overrated since they took our best shot then fought back and had us puckered down the stretch.

One of the worst calls this year

Truly ponderous. As if the ref had decided on the foul before the shot.

Arkansas doesn't produce a ton of football talent,

While true, look at what that jackass Ford did with Lunney Jr. and Madre Hill. The list goes on. Hometown kids are the foundation, the Peter if you will.

Layla's piano.
"I Will Always Love You" and the like seem timeless.

"All I Have to Do Is Dream" might fly minus the "gee whiz."

Play Axel F on fiddle.

Coaches aren’t going to agree to be “locked down”

This is key. But whomever you do lock down, you need to time the announcement and act as though that was the guy you wanted all along, not the one you settled for, like my 2nd wife did.
Yesterday, I was mad at what a stupid team we have from the top down, with a few exceptions, and I was sad for those few having to lose like that.

I'm okay with the hire because it all remains to be seen. The ones doing the hiring are supposed to be experts at what they do. Even if they're not, they know more than I do, and even our fellow posters. Crazy, huh? So, I'm in. Skeptical, but willing to be fully won over.

It may not be that we're all square with Petrino and the past, but he did a great job of making it look that way.
In series, two four ohm speakers result in an 8 ohm load.

In parallel, they become a 2 ohm load.

Consider two eight ohm speakers in parallel for 4 ohms.

endless bathroom breaks

That's no excuse. Kids don't have prostates the size of grapefruits.

Those glittering generalities remind me obnoxious ribbon boards.

Folks prioritize the comfort and affordability these days...and understandably so.

Indeed. Sounds like old people priorities, though, lacking the vigor and recklessness of youth. Not that I begrudge their wisdom.

Another reason I had for going was to take a kid. The boy for most games, but the girl for some, especially around Christmas.

I'll shift the blame to Texas kids.
I had a great run, including Heath, Pelphrey, and Anderson. Now I have a bigger TV, better beer, and little reason to be out after dark. The question is, where are the new heads?

And I don't mean 30y/o goobs sitting with the students.
Exactly. I cheered as Pookie Modica dropped 37 on the gamecocks, and this is what I get?

When I lived in town, I had tickets and would go to as many games as possible and take a kid. What ruined it for me, before HY, (warning: old man rant) all the damn ribbon boards, big arse scoreboard, and stupid distractions that nothing to do with the game. I had been going since the Kleine-Robertson seasons. I had to quit or stroke out.
The multiple mentions of certain songs bring universality into question.

For instance, Roxane. I'm not the only Sting hater here or in general.

Much of the BP fervor is fear of the unknown. The last three hires have been so bad, fans expect another. I agree we should move on regardless.

we utterly self destructed in the 4th quarter.
That should be clear, as it happened in several games.

A reporter asked Petrino, soon after he took over, what it will be like to call plays from the field instead of the booth. Part of his response was that he needed to not gripe at the refs so much and stay focused. So he knew that was an issue, yet there it was, another meltdown and lack of self-discipline.
