All of Bob Marley's hits written by random white guy from NYC.

Broke my heart when I found out, many years ago.

Opening song off of Dwight Yoakam's 3 Pears album, Take Hold of My Hand was co-written by Kid Rock

Bruce Springsteen's Hungry Heart was originally written for the Ramones.. that would have been interesting

George wrote some stuff very early in his career, but it wasn't anything big. He has been writing more of the stuff he records lately (a lot of co-writes with his son), but yeah, his real classic catalog is from the works of others.

Some of his songs were even covers, songs that he learned to play during his dance hall days.

His version of Amarillo By Morning was at least the third, with Chris Ledoux recording a version 8 years or so before.

Right or Wrong was an old jazz tune that Bob Wills turned into a western swing standard.
