Steve Earle might as well be a gangster rapper. He sang about the multi-generational manufacturing and selling of illicit substances. Glorified it, too.

Rap is glorifying that behavior and perpetuating it. Country doesnt seem to want to do that

Cheap cocaine is one my favs. Drive by truckers has a lot of songs about southern misfortune.
