Anyone else see elton john? Probably one of if not the best performer I've ever seen. Lot of energy, great music, good times today. Will definitely head back next year

The crowd was insane. Got there well before jerry lee lewis started and best spot was on the darn track. The crowd was large to the point it was a safety concern.

Elton put on a hell of a show.

Elton was fricking awesome. Crowd was insane for sure. I expected that so I was at the gate drinking bloody marys at 8am in order to get a good spot in the chair area. Sitting at the gate drinking bloody marys and making new friends has actually become part of the jazz fest tradition that I enjoy. Great day!

Looking forward to today but disappointed it is the last day.

Anders today

Don't be shocked if Anders cancels. He showed up at the Nevilles show last night and is in awful shape. Bulging disc in back. Needed a cane to walk, and couldn't hold his guitar (was in a harness). He was only out for 1 song. Would be shocked if he could handle a 90 min set. Gotta give him props for trying last night, though.

Yeah. I've been seeing that on his Facebook page. Looks like he played his Howlin Wolf show last night though?

Well JRAD was incredible last night.

The jamming was so energetic and layered. They'd stretch out songs so much that half the time I'd completely forget where we started, but it didn't matter at all, because everywhere they went was cool as frick. The building of intensity and creation/relief of tension was masterful.

Joe Russo was a sight to be seen and a sound to be felt. Such a dynamic and leading drummer. The seamless changes in time signatures and increasing force in his playing (as well as the rest of the band) was unreal. He was electrifying.

Hamilton and Metzger played off each other very nicely, great lead guitar work from both of them. Marco was awesome, loved his fills and his extended piano jams. Dave was often overshadowed if you weren't specifically listening for him, but he was doing some cool stuff during the transition.

Awesome show at an awesome venue for music (aside from the shitty bathroom situation and slow bar service).

JRAD was great again, not quite as good as the night before an A if night before was an A+.

Upstairs bathrooms were wide open though.

I walked to Roosevelt bar at setbreak and got a beer. Panic keyboard dude was in there after finishing his 2 songs at Neville thing.

There was an Estimated Prophet in there somewhere in the second set.

The Other One jam was great.

I couldn't see him. We had to stand in the back, behind a fence, behind the track.

That so was rad. So many great transistions, they went 45 mins- hour without slowing down to open the show. The eleven was so sick.
