Mötley Crüe,
If that's true, that is a huge slap in the face to their fans after the big deal they made about their final tour.

SOP for an older band. Kiss has been doing final tours for 30 years.

30 years ago this would have been awesome

I predict lots leathery skin and rose tattoos on sagging cleavage

3 of the worst things to me

Point well taken. However, all the true Crüe fans out there can never get enough and when you’ve got Def Leppard and Poison on the bill, you’re looking at a rock n’ roll party that will be huge.
That is....
If this shite’s really true.
Gimme The Dirt!!!

Posted this in the thread on the OT. I'm a massive Crue/Sixx AM fan. Nikki was a huge bass playing influence for me, but I won't pretend that he's not a slick businessman. Dude knows how to get money/attention from the media and fans in a hurry. Do you know any heroin addicts who have the wherewithal to keep a daily diary? He has no problem being a corporate whore.
None of us know the full ins and outs of this supposed contract, or if it even exists. "Tour" may have a very specific definition that this series of concerts doesn't meet. Also, they may not be touring as Mötley Crüe, they may be touring as Motley Crue (umlauts removed). There are probably several safety valves and some creative drafting in that document.
It's like printing free money for these guys at this point, so why not keep the machine rolling? You had the movie, Tommy Lee getting lots of press, Vince still touring around, Nikki with his fingers in everything (even appearing on Brittany Furlan's podcast), nobody ever knows what Mick is up to haha, but it was obvious in hindsight that something was brewing. They're old men, so they probably wanted to take some time off before firing up the money machine again.

Stadiums? Are we sure its not sheds? I don't see them filling stadiums.

What else are these guys going to do? The only thing they know is being rock stars. Everyone already knew Motley retiring was nonsense. Write a big enough check...

Vince Neil was awful when Crue played at the SKC in 2015.

Kiss has been doing final tours for 30 years
Wrong. One farewell tour in 2000 which wound up being a farewell tour to Ace and Peter. We all know this current farewell is the last for them due to age.

Is Vince gonna run across the stage and get winded and let the crowd sing all the songs while the other three play?

They also don't do stadiums. And they always go out with 2 to 3 other bands. Usually a mix of either Poison, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, etc. I just don't see the demand to fill a stadium with these acts.
Also, I saw a clip Eddie Trunk posted from his show a few years ago where Mick Mars said if they went back on their word and contract and ever did another tour, he would invite everyone to come see it for free. So there's that.

Def is going to be the glue that holds this tour together. Hate all you want, but they are the main MUSICAL attraction here. Motley will always sell. Poison will bring the hoes and their hoe daughters and granddaughters for one song.
