during setbreak at the show last night. Horrible.

A concertgoer fell to his death during rock band Goose's performance Saturday at Madison Square Garden, the New York Police Department said.

Police said the 51-year-old man, identified as Paul Kueker, suffered fatal injuries after he fell from an elevated surface inside the Garden just before 10 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital after being found unconscious and unresponsive, the NYPD said. "While we await the police report on the tragedy at last night's Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan's life at Madison Square Garden. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the concertgoer," MSG said in a statement to CBS News New York.

He fell from the arena's 300 level, according to police sources.

"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight's show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected. Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support," Goose said in a statement on the band's Instagram account.

I read they continued the concert but closed off that section. The people in that section were given passes to the floor

Still not sold on Goose. Seems very contrived...

Glad to see the band is offering fans affected by the incident access to therapists, grief counselors and guided breathwork(?) to help manage the trauma.

I picture goose fans still wearing masks and taking “digital” drugs.

It's baffling to live in a time when there's major, headlining acts named both "Goose" AND "Geese."

I initially thought the man died at a Geese concert and was coming to post how lucky he was for not having to suffer through the rest of the show.

When Duck, Duck, Goose turns deadly. Also, do you think the dude was in a tailspin when he was falling?

thread was not intended to be a referendum on goose but I guess that was inevitable. We’ve seen them a few times, once on the beach in Cancun which was awesome just due to the setting and then a couple times in the usual places.

Rick M can play but his vocals are annoying and whoever is writing their songs needs a better lyricist. The grooves are there but as you said they can sometimes seem contrived. I do like the second frontman (guitars/keys) and the crowd is usually very into it which makes it fun.

I wouldn’t seek them out but if they are playing close by I’d go. We didn’t go to the Saenger shows as we went to see others those nights.

It’s good live music. Pretty forgettable afterwards but fun shows regardless

Are we sure he didn’t jump after seeing Goose live for an hour?

Latest reports say video shows he dove head first over the glass railing. I assume he was going down some steps and flipped over the railing at the bottom.

Never heard of Goose until now. They were in New Orleans a month ago.

They have their own songs but it appears they do a lot of covers too.

Here's Gooses response to the man's falling.

What kind of AI bullshite is that?

People sometimes fall/jump at concerts and sporting events. It's not common, but it does happen from time to time. The show usually goes on.
