A guy who helped make a 2 person garage band a pivotal, national act with hits. including one that will live forever at sporting events. He will always be respected among the hipster community no matter what he does. Apparently he is a terrible husband.

Peaked? Yes sometime during White Stripes.
Still vital? Yes his new album is pretty good.
Innovative? Not really anymore.
He is a very good not great musical talent. De Stijl was my introduction to him and still my favorite.

As someone who likes Jack White and respects him as a guitarist, the idea that he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is ludicrous.

Average to below average talent but loved the way he embraced Loretta Lynn and the work he did with her.

His songwriting peaked when he wrote Elephant IMO.
But he's still putting out great music. And his performances are as good as ever IMO.
As batshit crazy as his political ramblings are on social media, I'm happy he hasn't let that bleed into his music...at least for now.

The DV’s are over calling him an average talent, but when you grew up with Steve Lukather, EVH, Clapton, Neil Schon, Santana, Prince, Steve Vai, Joe B and Brent Mason….Jack White is an average guitarist/musician

As with most teenagers, my introduction to [insert any band] was pretty much their mega hits or whatever you'd hear on the radio or MTV. So for the white stripes it was seven nation army, dead leaves on the dirty ground, etc.
It wasn't until adulthood that I listed to their whole catalogue and was blown the frick away. De Stijl had such a bluesy sound to it in addition to hard rock guitar sound and I fell in love instantly. I think to say that they're a band that "had a couple good tunes" is being incredibly disingenuous. If you like blues/rock and a killer slide guitar then you shoudl probably love the hell out of the WS.

Radioheads only good song is creep but they kept making music for some reason even though it wasn’t good. The difference between them and the white stripes is that 7 nation army sucks

If you want to downvote not supporting Jack White anymore because he’s publicly supporting Satanists for being Satanists, that’s your prerogative. I guess it makes you feel enlightened or something. I’m too old and there’s way too much other stuff to listen to for me to rationalize that.
