Sorry, but your girl sucks.

My wife is a huge fan, has seen every tour Taylor has done. I enjoy some of her music, but after the show in Nashville last weekend, I totally get it. I go to 50-60 concerts a year and it was one of the best that I have ever seen.

The production team has all the money in the world to work with, so i imagine its quite the spectacle

She’s talented, makes perfectly crafted pop songs, and seems to be a decent person. Good on her.

I agree!!
Then she opens her mouth about politics

Have u not paid attention to history? History of pop culture. If you can capture the young girl demographic, you dominate whatever platform you are in. That’s any performer. Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprioin Titanic, Boy Bands, The Beatles (early), Madonna in the mid 80’s, young Elvis, the list goes on.

There is truth to this, and I would include the "teenager" as a whole, regardless of sex.

You reminded me back in early 1986 in junior high. Every girl had notebooks, binders, photos and other memorabilia of either Wham! or Duran Duran. It was like a revolution of those 2 bands in particular.

She's like the essence of every basic white girl distilled and concentrated into a powerful drug. Every Becky and Karen in America is powerless against voodoo such as this.

If you capture that young girl group. You will dominate. But it’s very short lived. Unless you can grow and keep them like Swift has done. These “girls” are 30+ year old women now. Madonna kept them for 20 years until she became a fricking cartoon. Justin Timberlake kept them through his boy band days as a solo artist.

Young girls will watch your movie 50 times, go to any concert you have and pay top dollar. Watch multiple shows if the shows are like Swifts (3 in one city) and are nearby.

Yeah, sometimes the current flavor is talented (Beatles, Elvis) and sometimes it sucks (Taylor Swift). Everything about her seems boring and average, but she has a hell of a marketing team.

I can't stand her. The same goes for Ed Sheeran and just about every other popular "musician" these days.

They don't even sound like songs. More like lectures or manifestos. And she seems like a complete and total count.

And I'm sorry, but I'm also never going to share your love for Alice In Chains.

You love Taylor Swift. I doubt that anyone's expecting you to appreciate real talent.

Tay Tay is extremely talented at triggering fat, middle-aged slobby men. There's more whining in this thread than there is in all her songs combined.

There's more estrogen in this thread than there is at a Tay Tay concert.

Send a copy of your post to Tay Tay. She might give you the sex for being such a solid Swiftie. And then she'll write a song about it.

I have some respect for her. She may not be the music I listen to, but at least she writes pretty much all of her songs. I don't pay attention enough to hate her for any reason.

I noticed you didn't say the fat, middle-aged white guys were wrong. (and to nitpick this fat, middle-aged white guy thinks music died 35 years ago)

This is the part I'm always deeply skeptical of. She writes them? Really? Define "writing".

Who else appeals to white middle/upper class girls 10-30yo? Harry Styles?

Hard for me to believe.

She's probably clearing 20 million per concert.

I admit I don't really follow her or her music, but what else really is out there nowadays? She can't possibly be worse that most of the new music coming out these days.
