High range hair band singers of the 80’s. Anyone sing like that anymore?

I know that era has passed, but there were an incredible amount of good male singers that could hit the high notes floating around back then. These days I can’t think of many that are making that kind of sound anymore. Chris Cornell could do it in his prime but he’s gone too. Maybe Miles Kennedy? Any others under 30-40 kicking out there?

Justin Hawkins of the Darkness
The Struts
Dirty Honey
Greta Van Fleet
South of Eden
The L.A. Maybe
True Villains

Pop punk is full of those kinds of singers, too, particularly the NJ scene
Senses Fail
The Used (I know they’re from out West, but they launched MCR and toured with all of these bands)
My Chemical Romance
Underoath
Save Face

There was so much great guitar and drumming but I couldn't stand the screaming falsetto stuff

Dino Jelusick first comes to mind. Sounds like the best of RJD, Coverdale, Ray Gillen and a young Sebastian Bach all rolled into one. Absolutely badass. Search his name on YouTube.

That’s kind of what I’m looking for. Not so much sissy falsetto (like Greta van fleet) but powerful with range (Dio, Coverdale, Halford, etc). I’ll check him out.

More like later 80s early 90s but Girish and The Chronicles. Girish is I guess George Lynch's latest vocalist for Lynch Mob and End Machine. Youtube video link

I'm checking him out on Youtube right now because you made the Ray Gillen comparison. Ray was awesome and gone too soon. I always wanted to hear him do more stuff with Sabbath.

Check out bands like Crazy Lixx, Crashdiet, and Hardcore Superstar.
They totally carry on the hair metal traditions....

It's the main reason I can't get into AC/DC. As a band they can fricking jam, but the "growled falsetto" vocals just grate on me.
