Do it all the time, but I'm pretty weird.

Nah, I used to go to shows alone every now and again. If you start to feel weird, just get blasted and force people to be your friends.

Seems like we get this topic every year . The answer will always be no. Going to see a band isn't really a "social" event, at least to me. I'm there for the music and once that starts, it doesn't make much of a difference if I'm with someone, a group, or alone.

I've done it a few times. It's not ideal but if there's somebody you really want to see and can't talk anybody into going with you, go by yousef.

I go to 30+ shows a year. If I had to find someone to go with me, that number would probably be cut in half. Sometimes I meet people at the show, other times I just have fun by myself.

A little. It’s something worth avoiding when possible, but not worth avoiding when it’s go alone or not at all. It’s the same as eating at a restaurant or seeing a movie in a theater by yourself. Better with others, but if you’ve gotta eat, you’ve gotta eat.

I’ve been to a lot of shows by myself.

It's only weird if you run into someone you know there.

"Hey man, what's up? Didn't know you were a __BAND NAME___ fan. Who did you come with?"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh..."

Only matters if you care about what other people you don't even know, who could not care less about what you are doing, think.

I usually go alone after asking a couple people if they are interested. New Orleans is so small i usually end up running into the same people at the same kind of concerts anyway.

Been to many shows by myself. Going to see TV On the Radio and LCD Soundsystem in Berkeley by myself in April. Don't have any friends that are into the same type of music I am.

Not at all, I always go alone. There are a couple people I tend to run into at shows though.

I sat by myself once at a Garth concert. It was a little weird at first but the people around me were basically drunk college kids like me so it was pretty awesome

If you want to go see whoever bad enough I’d do it

I go to some metal shows here alone because none of my friends here have the balls to go to the metal shows I go to. I am going to Slayer in June alone. If you think I am taking a woman to a Slayer show you are on crack.

If it's an artist I can live without seeing (at least until another time), I probably wouldn't. But if it's like a concert-bucket-list type of artist/band, I more than likely would. For instance, I'd see Gorillaz, Green Day, and NiN by myself with no hesitation.

Weird?

shite NO!!! I’ll be DAMNED if I’m gonna deprive myself of seeing a show I want to see just because my friends are too lame to go to it. Been to many metal shows by myself and I’m always able to strike up some great conversations with other people there. It is overall so much more friendly a group than most people would think.

Been travelling for work for last two years too. Managed to bring coworkers to a couple of shows but usually go by myself. Uber fricking rules for this. Always have a blast having beers with my new like-minded friends I meet there.

I have about four contacts in my cell phone of people I’ve met at shows and then arranged to meet up with for more shows, including Nacho Reb.

I prefer to go to see live shows alone. That way I don't have to deal with someone else's musical taste nor be concerned with their enjoyment.

I do it all the time... Prefer going to shows with my wife and/or friends, but a "can't miss show" is a CAN'T MISS SHOW.

Plus, I'm not gonna subject my wife to a lot of the punk and metal shows that I want to go to.
