The 90s were horrific. Borderline unlistenable.

Ummmmm, let's see. 70's had Zeppelin, Eagles, Skynyrd, Stones, Beatles, America, Crosby Stills & Nash, Aerosmith, Queen. Need I go on? 80's had some really good stuff, especially early on, but come on guys. This ain't even close.

You’re experience seems to be limited to what was played on the radio.

70's
If I could I would say 65-74 but if I had to pick an even decade then I would go with the 60s. The 60s is stacked with iconic bands and music.
Beatles, The Who, Led Zepplin, CCR, Grateful Dead, The Doors, Hendrix, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, The Stooges, Cream, The Animals, The Zombies, The Yardbirds, Steppenwolf, Tha Allman Bros, The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkle, Bob Dylan, The Lovin' Spoonful, Moby Grape, Santana, Buffalo Springfield, Frank Zappa, Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Band, Janis Joplin, The Supremes, Aretha, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Rascals, Ike and Tina, The Jackson Five, Donovan, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, Roy Orbison, The Drifters, The Four Tops, The Mammas and the Pappas, Dick Dale, The Everly Bros, Van Morrion, Lou Rawls, Canned Heat, The Moody Blues, Country Joe, Three Dog Night, Traffic, Iron Butterfly, Bo Diddly and I am only about halfway through my 60's play list.

80s definitely has some solid hits but i would have to say the 70s pretty molded music for so much we have seen come around
Some amazing musicians that played in the 70s and still continued playing into the 80s

Black Sabbath I think they had it figured out years ago
This classic song 1970 anchored one end of the decade. The entire decade pretty much defined a new genre of music called Classic Rock which still dominates the music scene today, even amongst young people.
1970s the best for sure but 1980s and 1960s close. Modern music sucks.

80’s music: love life
90’s music: hate life
The 90s weren't just about Nirvana you know (or even grunge).

The Bee Gee's go back to the 70's. People overlook their greatness.

I lived through the 60's to the current time. The 60's and 70's provided a good deal of bands that have absolutely stood the test of time. Led Zeppelin stands at the top for me for hard rock band champs. Aerosmith's first four albums were in the 70's and were outstanding and nothing like the "pop" music they delivered in the 90's to the present.

Bingo! Look at the songs written for Saturday Night Fever.

Modern music sucks.
This is something I hate to hear. For context, my 5 bands to have on my playlist on a deserted island would be The Who, The Stone, Led Zepplin, Hendrix, and AC/DC. However, when someone says all modern music sucks they either don't really like music, they aren't trying very hard or they are so stuck on a certain genre in a certain era they can't expand. There is tons of new music and the technical talent of musicians is off the charts.

Whatever decade you attended highschool/college

I agree 80’s but really 85-95 was golden years of music.
No matter what kind of music you liked it was great.
Pop: The best
Country: The best
Hard Rock: The best
Regular Rock: Great, but not as great as 70’s
Rap: The best. Could be up for argument though.
R&B: Great but those early R&B singers have to be the greatest

70’s and it’s not even close.

Preferring the 80s to the 70s and 60s is laughable
