1990s for sure in every genre

Nope. Bubble gum pop and Boy Bands towards the end of the decade ruined everything that Grunge and Real Hip-Hop built in the early 90’s.

Depends on what decade the person you ask grew up in.
For me, the 80’s!

60’s/70’s/80’s are my wheel house but I would agree it’s the ‘80’s.

Mid 70s to early 90s (sans disco) is the best period of music.

Ergo, 80s is the best decade

Late 70s and early 80s.

The 70s gave us Hotel California and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Very underappreciated. I admit to only recently listening and appreciating the awesomeness of that era.

70’s

I would go as far to say 1977 may very well have been the pentacle for pop music.

Hotel California
JT - James Taylor
Aja
Rumors
Southern Nights
Wings Over America
Foreigners first release.

I was in school every year of the 80's. 2nd grade in 80 to Senior in 89. The think about the 80's was the different styles that were all good. You had the regular Pop, New Wave, Country, Heavy Metal, Glam Rock, Alternative, Early Rap, Quiet Storm etc., and I listened to it all. It was nothing for me to be listening to Hall $ Oates, then Iron Maiden, then Culture Club, then Alabama, then Anthrax, then Earl Thomas Conley, then Run-DMC, then Ratt, then George Benson, then Madonna, then Eric B. and Rakim, then Duran Duran, then Metallica, then George Strait, I could go on and on. Just great music and different styles.
