not going to judge you for madonna but 2006? was she still hot?
Huge fan. First time I was able to get tix. She only toured twice between 94-06 and both of those runs had limited cities.
For 50 years old, damn. Most women would kill to look that good and do what she did on that tour. Helluva show. She came out of a fricking disco ball at the beginning. Did Like a Virgin on a carousel saddle while simultaneously using it like gymnasts do a pommel horse. Nailed Saturday Night Fever with a mash up of Music and Disco Inferno. Ray of Light was reimagined as a rave in outer space. You get a lot of her. I was surprised how many numbers she did alone on the stage.
I think she's lost a step now, but her three tours in the 00s: Re-invention, Confessions, and Sticky and Sweet are hard to beat.

In December of ‘91 Soundgarden was touring as opener for GnR. They played a show in Tampa and then three days later in Miami. In between they came up to Jax to headline at The Milk Bar, an awesome downtown basement venue with capacity of about 300. Badmotorfinger tour. On the verge of breaking out to become huge. Dark and dingy basement club. I’ll never forget when the lights went down and the recorded guitar intro along with the animal see ‘n say cranked up, leading into Seaching With My Good Eye Closed.
Absolutely fricking epic show.

Rober Plant/Jimmy Page reunion tour at the Summit is probably my biggest brag.

seeing gnr before their first album was released wasn't that unusual
they were on tour with motley crue
The album was released. They just were still fairly unknown.
I saw GNR when they opened for The Cult at Saenger in sept of 87. The last stop of the Electric tour. Still my favorite concert. They just walked out on the stage with full lights on and slash finished off a bottle of jack and Axl just screams in the mic, “you know where you fricking are?” It’s funny to think now, Axl walked the aisles singing without getting mobbed. People really didn’t know what to think of them.

As of yesterday, Liz Phair's Guyville tour sold out in under a minute at the Empty Bottle (small club).. hopefully, she's working on this one too!

Big Star at Howlin' Wolf - New Years Eve, 2000/2001 - Chilton, Stephens and the two guys from the Posies.
Meat Puppets at The Varsity - First official music show at the Varsity. 10/30/1989, show was 2 dollars with ticket stub from REM show that same night at the PMAC. Encore call: "More Meat! More Meat! More Meat!"
Butthole Surfers at Jacy's - 1985 - Cops raided the show and took a while to shut it down for fire code violation. Gibby Haynes was completely out of his mind, band sounded incredible.

Most of my friends are jealous that I saw Led Zeppelin in 1977. If they ever start crowing about some show they saw, I pull that one out and they shut up pretty quick.
