Queens of the Stone Age has been pumping out solid, damn good music since 1997, with 7 of their 8 albums since 2000.

The vast majority of their music has been made after 2000.
I guess Tom Brady wast the best QB since 2000 because he was drafted in the 90's

Listen to Ceremony by Joy Division and you’ll never listen to Mr Brightside the same way again.

Most/All bands are influenced by previous bands.
It’s ridiculous to say they stole their hits.
The killers sound like no one else.
Have you even listen to anything other than Mr. Brightside?
Probably not
It’s Super cool If they were influenced by Joy Division makes me like them even more

Mastodon.

I’d rather listen to Yoko Ono get fed into a wood chipper feet first than listen to the vast majority of the bands listed in this thread. These new “rock” bands are shite, pure shite.

That was fricking easy.

Apparently OT doesn't know their music at all.

My Chemical Romance is purely of the 2000’s. They released two of the best selling and most culturally relevant albums of the decade and two other albums that are both decent before disappearing in the early 2010’s. Their fanbase is annoying and cringe as all get out, but there’s no denying the talent possessed by the band. Since their reunion in 2019, they’re selling out arenas instantly and drawing crowds nearing 100k at festivals while sounding like they haven’t aged a day.

Incredible guitar work that shreds, vocals that are near impossible to duplicate, artistic style that is wholly their own, high-minded concept albums that tell a story (often across multiple albums), etc are why they are one of the best bands of this century. I’m looking forward to hearing their next album which should be coming out in the next year as their lead guitarist is currently touring with L.S. Dunes.

They may be cartoony and over the top like Kiss, but unlike Kiss there’s some serious substance to their music with a lot more difficulty and intricacy in the music behind the elaborate sets, costumes, pageantry, and pyrotechnics.
