Ok, this might technically be a song from 1990 BUT this is my fav song of all time and this band was criminally under-rated but House of Lords, Remember My Name, good lawd James Christian's pipes were off the chain and in this song you can just listen in awe of the notes he hits effortlessly...enjoy!

Bumping this during a journey down the youtube rabbit hole. I was never a fan of Van Hagar back in the day, but my god, Dreams, When It's Love, and Love Walks In are ridic.

Kix - Don’t Close Your Eyes
This song was written as a response to another song in this thread. They heard the Lita-Ozzy song and wanted to put out a song to balance out what they thought was a pro-suicide message in “Close my eyes forever.”

Every song mentioned on this thread is fantabulous. It’s also supremely cool that you guys have revived the thread. As for those songs that actually were released in the early 90’s they’re great too and forget about the fact they’re not technically ‘80’s songs. Same genre, and I would consider them 80’s all day long.

Mr. Big - To Be with You
Night Ranger - Sister Christian
L.A. Guns - Ballad of Jane
I think LA Guns is in Huntsville in a few weeks. Very underrated band who just couldn't survive the Seattle/grunge phase.

Tesla -Love Song
Not my fav of the 80's, but I linked it because there were some fine bishes in the crowd. Album was released in 1989, so it barely makes it

I never could understand why “I Won’t Forget You” was never a big hit like “ Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. I always thought it was a much better song. Never was a big fan of “Thorn”.
They're both great, but IWFY is the greatest The video is great too. I listen to it at least 10 times per week.

Two pages and no mention of Cinderella's "Don't Know What You Got (Til It's Gone)"? That was a straight panty-dropper in the second half of 1988.
Tom Kiefer was/is a talent that is highly underappreciated .
