I've only made it through Ep 1 of Season 2, but the ex wife is just trying to be annoying at this point. Coop said several times "I'm not fighting/We're not fighting"

The daughter scene on Princeton interview was just awful woke tv filler garbage.

Don't see how they are going to justify the dude stealing random shite now that he's got a $400 million dollar account. Maybe the burglary storyline run its course.

Said from the beginning that this story is essentially breaking bad but set in a rich CT neighborhood instead of ABQ.

2 episodes in and it's definitely a dip from season 1. Found myself the past couple of nights not hitting play on EP3 and fining something else to watch.

Don't have just a ton of interest in Coops family drama and a season of the mom and daughter being a bitch. I need to like some people in the show.

Will probably keep going but not excited about each episode like I was for S1.

Hamm plays the same guy in every show.

And agreed there's really no Walt, Jessie or Hank here. Hard to gaf about what happens to any character.

I'm pretty sure they hinted that he's now setting his sights on Owen Ashe and maybe bilking him out of that money. I thought there was some internal monolog from the present (where they have him narrating from the "future" on what we're observing on screen) or something they used to hint that he's now hatching a new criminal plan with Ashe as the target.

I might have read too much into it, but I may have to rewatch to see exactly what gave me that impression. I'd like to see it, because the whole breaking into people's homes can only go on so long as a plot device.

She’s awful. Her character is such an awful person. And of course it’s not her fault, it’s everyone else, even though everyone else is trying to tell her she is awful.

Her ability to try to claim the moral high ground and be the victim in everything when she cheated on coop kept the kids and the house and literally is unemployed and mooching off coop is astounding.

I think this is going to be the Apple version of Ozark. Coop will get sucked in deeper and deeper into Ash's world until he gets into things way over his head and has to fight his way back out at the end. Honestly, this show could use a little more of a Ruth Langmore. Maybe the maid Elena will fill that role!

Finally caught up to the most recent episode. The Coop/Jack dynamic was so freaking good in the episode. Interested to see where the audit on Nick's gym is going with Ash and what Ash's angle is there. Wondering if he's already suspicious that Coop and Barney were up to shenanigans there and is trying to get them further roped into his empire via the investment and audit.

I can't stand Nick's character. Such a goof. Also glad to see them move Sam and Mel move forward to some degree. I really disliked what they've done with Mel this season, but hopefully she starts progressing, now.

I almost felt sad for Jack during his "halfway to invisibility" speech. Then I remembered: frick that guy.

I think it's legit. It will, obviously, uncover Barney's shenanigans, but Ashe would totally give a thorough working over of any $30MM investment, if only to prove a point.

Her character is terrible - by design (I give some hope).

And man, I am not the biggest fanboy of this show. It's stupid. I wanted to like it and will perhaps continue to watch, but it's a "fictional reality" show., that's not my wheelhouse.

Strange episode... kind of a semi-capsule episode that didn't really advance anything plotwise, but it did flesh out a lot of characters. Seemed almost like it had guest writers/directors who were trying to show off their chops.

It was good writing and directing with some cool cinematography one-shot in the house during the wake/reception. Kind of weird to just do the one-shot for a limited part of the episode, but it did capture the feeling of being at that sort of gathering.

Lots of great small moments in the episode (the people all coming up to Coop offering "condolences", the inane small talk, the family fighting, Owen's presence and weirdness, etc..).

Anyway, definitely a changeup episdoe, but I enjoyed it. Looking quickly at reddit, it appears to be fairly polarizing among the fanbase.
