Not sure if he qualifies as the villain in Pulp Fiction, but Vincent Vega leaving his gun on Butch’s counter to take a shite was a really stupid decision.

Buffalo Bill not attacking Clarice sooner when he had a huge advantage over her in the dark basement.

Fitzgerald had Hugh Glass dead to rights and couldn’t finish him.

Bodhi could have ended Johnny Utah’s FBI career way sooner.

Many more come to mind, but there are a few.

Tavington killing Mel Gibson’s son.

I swear I go in a rage when I see that character. Burning the church was it for me. I don’t know who I want to beat to death more, Tavington or JBE.

Voldemort made several horrible decisions:

1) Entrusting his diary Horcrux to Lucius Malfoy telling him it was a weapon that could open the Chamber of Secrets.

2) Burying the locket Horcrux in his grandfather's house.

3) Hiding the Diadem in the Room of Requirement that anyone can really find and a Ravenclaw student would have certainly immediately recognized it.

4) Trusting Severus Snape.

5) Toying with Harry Potter in the graveyard and not just killing him.

6) Bringing Nagini with him to the Battle of Hogwarts and also weaponizing Nagini.

7) Forcing Harry Potter to sacrifice himself for his loved ones in a near identical way that his mother died.

What are some of the biggest mistakes villains have made that come back to bite them in the end?

Rose not making room on that stupid door. She then had to live her life without her true love.

The big Nazi in Raiders not keeping situational awareness regarding the plane's propeller. Always seemed avoidable. Also, the main villain in the same movie sealing Indy and Marion in the tomb rather than shooting them and throwing them down.

Honestly, they were all fricked anyway. When you really think about it, the Ark was going to kill them all anyway.

From the cobra’s perspective, the cobra not seeing the plexiglass sheet that prevented the strike on Indy when he first hit the ground.

True. Can't decide if I'd rather be blended by a plane prop or face-melted by a holy ghost. Both looked pretty rough tbh.

The Emperor in the Death Star with Luke. Should have just killed him from the start.

Yeah and the Empire knew they had stolen something from the Imperial library.

They should've done their research.
I don't think there was much time between the end of Rouge One when they sent the transmission with the stolen plans to when the Death Star was destroyed. The Rogue One ending scene and opening of A New Hope are pretty much the same scene.

When McCaffey asked Jessup if he ordered the code red.... all he had to say was no.... goodbye. but he had to go on his tirade.

Well that was kinda the whole point of the crux of the dilemma. McCaffey was gambling his career that he would take the bait, that he would feel like he shouldn’t have to lie about something that was important albeit arguably not lawful.

Thanos

Why didn't he use the purple stone to kill the Avengers.

That thing can destroy the planet.
