When Mr. Rooney decided to go into Ferris Bueller's back yard and poke his head through the doggie door....

How about Drago letting his ego get the best of him? He had easily dominated Rocky throughout the entire fight going into the final round. He could have jabbed & held his way to an easy unanimous decision. What happened in the final round? He goes toe to toe with Rocky and gets caught with a lucky series of punches that KOs him. Drago could have become a Russian GOD - single handedly proving Russia's superiority to the U.S. But, just like that, Russia loses the cold war.

Vincent also apparently had earphones on too as he didnt hear Butch enter, sing to himself, and start cooking breakfast

Vincent thought it was Marcellus Wallace returning with the coffee.
(it took me two decades to figure that out).

Going out for coffee ending up being a pretty bad mistake.

Um.... taking down Gotham was the League of Shadows’ goal from Batman Begins and Talia being Ras’ daughter wanted to finish the job.

I get the response, but Bane (and his puppeteer) wanted Bruce to watch Gotham be destroyed from his dungeon cell. That was part of their motivation.

Why didn’t he just blow the city up almost immediately then when Batman’s back was still completely fricked? Something tells me this was the plot Nolan was planning with the Joker. The League helps Joker break out of Arkham, and gives Joker the trigger to prove a point to Bruce that Gotham and humanity was never salvageable and the Joker is the perfect retort to everything Ra’s warned Bruce about. Goes on for like 3 days where Joker pretty much continues where he left off trying to make Gotham and the Feds do whatever he wants, and if they don’t, he detonates the nuke. Bane was a good villain and I do enjoy the Dark Knight Returns, but it’s silly Bane and Talia let this go on for 5 months.

Bloodsport - Chong Li had the upper hand, but decides to start jumping around and celebrating instead of finishing Dux off.

Gangs of NY - the butcher should've killed Amsterdam instead of letting him walk around in shame.

I have 2 girls so I watch a lot of Disney movies:

Why in the world would the "mother" in Tangled tell Rapunzel her real birthday? Rapunzel always questioned the lights that appear on her birthday leading her to believe there was something special about her. That lead her curiosity to take her out of the tower. Telling her birthday ultimately led to the old lady's demise.

My kids watch Tangled on a loop in the car. 3 things that don’t make sense:

- you hit on the birthday issue
- why continue to use Rapunzel’s real name? Why not just change her name when she’s baby and doesn’t know any better?
- why stay near (or in?) the kingdom?

The old slasher films from the 80s. Jason/Freddy/killer would plow through victims like a weedeater but when it came to the final victim - usually a hysterical girl with a brain the size of a walnut - they would suddenly slow down and savor the moment. Instead of killing this girl, I'm going to throw dead bodies through her window and walk slower than an old lady while she runs away!

This one spans both protagonist and villain.

I love Casino Royale, but the entire Montenegro plot is a bit nonsensical when boiled down.

MI6 knows that Le Chiffre lost all of his money on the botched shorting of SkyFleet, and they know he set up the poker tournament to win it back. They know he’s a bad guy and they know where he is, so why not just show up in force at the casino and arrest him on the spot? Instead, their plan is essentially to.....play in the tournament and make him lose it again and then arrest him if he loses?

Die Hard 2 where the villains take control of Dulles Airport and hold hundreds of commercial flights hostage when these flights could be redirected to any of 100 or so other airports in the Eastern US

Another Harry Potter one and probably the worst mistake listed here yet, but Umbridge following Harry and Hermione into the Forbidden Forest where she’s implicitly gang raped by centaurs.
