I don't think the Blind Side is horrible. It's certainly no award-winning movie, though (which I think is your point...or maybe it isn't, i dunno).

the only bad part about the movie is the farmer's god-awful family. His son and grandkids/daughter-in-law are terrible people.

Oh look at me, I like cloying "I'm a quirky Indie" movie with unbelievable characters who are just so unique and special and listen to The Shins all day while playing naked in the rain to show society what a precious snowflake they are.
Little Miss Sunshie is the Not Another Teen movie of Indies. It came about as close as you can get to being a parody of that genre. If you like being easily manipulated and insulted then that movie is for you.
