Glen Campbell was an odd choice in True Grit. But having to share the screen with the American cinema icon didn't help.

The character in the comics is supposed to be the stereotypical rugged, square-jawed action hero. He's specificially described that way, and certainly drawn that way.

OP has a pretty good nomination for worst casting, but I think either Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones or Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone are probably worse.
