started watching the Ephoria series on HBO because of, oh well. I'm a couple of episodes into season 2 and this is a screwed up show. My favorite character is Fezco, so I looked him up. Dude died in 2023 at 25 years old. Not sure he was acting or just playing himself.
Pouring one out for Fez

I watched it with the wife and there's definitely a weird feeling watching these actresses do sex/nude scenes as adults, but portraying high school kids...
I just made a confused face throughout and I think that covered me

Never saw Euphoria, likely never will, but your post reminds me of Nelsan Ellis from True Blood, who played Lafayette Reynolds. Passed just 3 yrs after the show ended.

The cinematography and music were excellent for this show. But it's almost like someone asked, "what are the top 5 things parents fear most for their adolescent children?".
And then they threw all of it into a show that just goes in any direction possible.

I just can't handle that Zendaya chick. I've watch the show all the way through but, got to a point where i was skipping her scenes.

Fez was the most interesting character, and the actor got the role through sheer chance.
Life in that school is not euphoric.
And a lot of the kids are screwed up bigly.
A couple of the storylines are worth watching, imo.

Not just specific to this thread but in general. Why do we take a small fraction of people’s opinion and act like it’s some huge representation of how everybody feels.
Are there really large number of people sitting around upset about this commercial. Or more likely a marketing ploy. Or some idiots who troll or say stuff for attention .
It’s a simple Jean commercial, just not sure the average person is sitting around “yelling” at the sky.
The internet is not a real representation of the average American opinion on most things.

Last week it was revealed that only 12% had a problem with the ad. So yes, it was a very small fraction.

I didn't even know what the hell people were upset about until I saw conservatives on Twitter/X posting about "people" being outraged. Still haven't seen a legit "liberal" account actually enraged about it. I fast forward through commercials/avoid them like the plague as well.
As for OP, we haven't watched Euphoria yet but it's on the list.
