After an astonishing run leading up to Endgame, they have sputtered along with DS2, Quantumania, and Thor:LaT. Guardians was a big hit, though not as big as the 2nd movie.
However, NO one asked for this movie. Kamala Khan had the lowest DisneyPLUS numbers to date, and Brie Larson is almost universally disliked by Marvel fans. I think this movie is gonna tank big time- it keeps getting delayed and there is ZERO hype for it. I think Disney/Marvel takes a huge L in this situation. It will be large enough for them to shift the paradigm and the content and output may change. Just my opinion.

I’m pretty much done already. Was waiting on GotG 3 and now that it’s done nothing else is interesting.

Maybe I’ll be back for X-Men.

We should have a thread on projects that Disney could do that would be more in demand than the Marvels or a new live action woke remake.

I’ll start

Disney+ season dedicated to showing Captain America returning the stones

The only season of Woody’s Roundup just as it would have been made in the 50’s.

You'll be waiting a while friend, nothing even close to pre production as far as I know (possible release for 2026) - unless you count Deadpool 3 - which I don't.

It’s just so exhausting to keep up with all the shows and other movies tied into it all with the multiverse

“Will I understand it?..”

well you have to watch wandavision because that is the tie in to Agatha and then the what if series and the second season Easter egg of Loki is a direct correlation to a throwaway Hawkeye joke and blah blah blah

I just do not care

Disney could do

Step one: sell to someone who actually cares about storytelling and not promoting kiddie diddling and tranny nut hugging

how many times have they done this? don't care

Deadpool 3

more of a "side quest" movie. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are great, Disney and the MCU are not

They'll probably name it "Mutants"

They haven't had a plan for the MCU since Endgame

That has been reflected in every trash movie they've put since then

I didn't realize how close it was to the 2nd movie, at least domestically. Through 66 days Guardians 3 is at $357M, Guardians 2 was at $385M.

Another season of What If incorporating some of the Fox properties.

As in “What If Fox could do a fricking Dark Phoenix storyline correctly?”

They tried twice and bungled it both times.

Would be a hell of an in-joke if they did.

That was Stan Lee’s original name for the book and the response was “What the hell is a mutant?” Somehow an “X-Man” was seen as better.

I don’t expect the he-man woman haters in this board to flock to the theater for it, but it’ll do what they’re expecting it to do. I haven’t seen any marketing for it.

You know, the first 15 to 20 movies of the MCU was an incredible accomplishment. Some of those movies were really fantastic, while a couple were just okay. Overall, they were a very consistent chain of relatively good movie-making. It was something no one had really ever done before. Not just having star-studded movies, but having a chain of many, many movies of the same returning stars and relatively the same quality. No other movie series has been able to do anything like that.

It's pretty amazing that they kept it going as long as they did. While Endgame had its problems, Captain Marvel was the really the end of that run. Now they have become very hit or miss. They are still going to hit some homeruns here and there, like Deadpool 3 probably, but overall the product is in decline.

The script/plot for the movie is online and has been for a little while. I read it and it was meh at best unless they went back and changed things. Just like the Black Widow film, I may not even waste my time with this.

The good shite is around the corner

I know I will catch shite, but here goes:

I liked the shite outta Ms. Marvel. It was a light show, with a lovable protagonist. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it crushed what it was trying to be.

Captain Marvel was just OK. It wasn't as bad as many say, most of that comes from shite she said before it came out. The biggest problem is she goes from laser hands to OMG frickING UBER shite with no explanation, foreshadowing, or development. It was like Rey Palpatine. Disney sucks at writing strong, stoic female protagonists. So scared of making her rely on men. . .they just make them all-powerful from jump. Sadly, she was better in her movie, than she was in the Avengers. . .and she was wooden AF in CM. I blame direction, because I have seen Brie act, and she is waaaay better than that.

Monica Rambeau is a badass, and a Louisianian. So frick the haters. Black Captain Marvel For Life!

feed me your hate. I said what I said.
