So what is behind the doors that killed that guy?

I don’t understand why the black cop shot Ruth? It’s an 85-year-old woman. Couldn’t he have just walked up to the situation and talk to her to get more information.

So he shot her at the same time the guy went in the dungeon, right? That’s why he thinks it’s over because he shot her?

Anyone else getting LOST vibes and the Dharma Initiative?

I watched that whole scene with a hand over one eye because I’m chicken shite and was preparing for a jump scare.

So he was trying to kill her with a Vicodin and Valium mixed together? That was called a Saturday night in my 20s.

Gonna need a little more than that

Great finale. Definitely got LOST vibes with the video and the kids going down the ladder.

I lost it when Ruth scampered up the stairs

And like others, when Loftis was talking when he thought Ruth had died, I fully thought the camera was going to flip to Ruth with black eyes or something. Fantastic tension building.

For them being uncertain of a S2, they definitely set it up for second season.

Help me process this

So I thought all that mattered was being a descendent of Warren and that’s what brought evil to the island

So how is the bell ringing and the sacrifices from all of this? Why does it need 8? And how long do they have to get that eight

The island has some type of entity that is controlling it and Warren made a deal with it to keep it happy. The deal is the sacrifices.

This we do not know yet.

The demon or whatever that inhabits the island, that Warren made the original pact of sacrifice with.

He knows their plan of ending the pact by killing Warren’s lineage. He thinks she’s the last as well based on the family tree. He kills her to save his unborn child, who will be entering the world at any moment.

Yes. I mean to go back and watch the episode when the bell tolls. It only makes sense if the bell only tolled once.

I skipped all the comments on the final episode. I haven't seen it yet.
Just wanted to know if it was good?

Every single thing that happened in Ruth’s house was awesome. From her on the treadmill (I did two miles! ). To the full calendar. To the car picture on the wall (I got it at a garage sale…boys love their cars ). To the tea conversation. To her helping other old people bc shes in such good shape. Him thinking she was dead. Etc.

With all that I started to wonder if she was going to have some sort of immortality (may still) since she was so active.

1 Question, how does the island go from producing “So you’re a sacrifice” videos to no one knowing they’re supposed to make sacrifices?

I get that it was supposed to be passed to the Reverend on that note, but it seemed like a joint effort in the past.

1 - believe I remembered it tolled 9 times in the previous episode when the priest went to confirm it was “out of service”. This means the hunger is only temporarily satisfied.

Can anyone confirm if it rang 9 times? I missed that but that is awesome.

Show was amazing and I would have been totally fine with it ending like this but glad we are getting a 2nd season.

I agree with poster above that Ruth running up the stairs was incredible.

Was a great episode, sucks we have no idea when the next one will air.

I wonder if all deaths on the island count or if they have to be sacrificed in that dungeon. There was other deaths this season that could count towards the bell tolls. The shaman got sucked into the sky and multiple people were killed by the boogeyman.

This show is so good. I just described it to some friends as Lost meets Parks and Rec meets X-Files.

It could be something like the oldest living Warren cannot die by normal means. Like how Richard Warren was still alive when they dug him up. Maybe with him dying by crossing the buoy, that immortality goes to Ruth. It certainly seems like she survived the gun shot.
