I don't think people take issue with the message he sends, but him and his brethren are just rage baiters at this point. There are about six or seven of them that just say the same things in slightly different voices.

Except, they aren't.
These are lifelong fans of a genre which has seen both success and failure. But what's been coming out of Hollywood in recent years is more than merely bad story telling. It's a purposeful, coordinated devaluing of characters and entire constructs in order to push The Message (eg Echo). And those behind all of this are doing it as quickly and carelessly as possible, because they simply don't care about what they're doing. They just want a big payday and huge accolades for doing minimial work. (See Rings of Power)
The writers and directors themselves admit, proudly, to not knowing or caring much of what they're working on. It's mind blowing to see this happening, time and time again. From projects like She-Hulk, *The Witcher to Rings of Power.
Sure, there are rage merchants out there, but where folks like Nerdrotic and others differ is that they back their comments with hard facts. Whether it's box office numbers showing massive failures or quotes and video of directors telling on themselves, proudly most of the time, admitting they don't know what the hell they're doing. (See Dan & Dave from Game of Thrones)
*The main reason Henry Cavill left The Witcher was because the show wasn't about - THE WITCHER!

Lefties here will tell you it has nothing to do with DEI, when it’s extremely obvious that it does
If you listen to the shareholder calls or speeches the CEOs deliver at investor conferences they repeatedly talk about their commitment to DEI.
Anyone pretending it doesn’t exist or isn’t driving business decisions in all industries is being willfully ignorant.

And yet everything woke turns to garbage and continues to yield negative results. That alone should raise alarm bells and have people asking why the hell would companies continue down this path?

If you ran a timeline it all starts immediately after Obama repealed the Smith-Munfield act which prohibited US intel agencies from engaging in propaganda back in 2013.
It took a couple years for the agencies to get established but by 2017-2018 they were in place on the various boards in Hollywood and the George Floyd riots were the call to action that allowed them to push through their agenda and the trickle became a torrent.
Here’s an article from noted right wing propaganda site “The Atlantic” outlining what he did.

The fact you have 35 DVs shows our society is doomed.

But She-Hulk!
Haha the directors that don't get results wont be given new projects, it's pretty simple. D&D were on top of the world then had star wars taken away from them.
I just finished twisted metal. I need someone to let me know if it was woke or not?

Hollywood is broken and nerdrotic is a cringy, click bait douche. Both things are true.

Oh yeah that's right. 2 minority leads so it has to be woke. Samoa Joe is woke too.
Also, white male villain

Not only are those movie selections, heavily cherry picked, they’re flat out wrong. Barbie was Barbie. Neither the female Director nor the lead actress were even nominated while Ryan Gossling, who played, Ken was.
Super Mario Brothers wasn’t remotely ‘woke’. They gave princess peach a pair of pants, but that was as far as her girl bossing went. Nintendo doesn’t play that game.
Top Gun Maverick was not woke. Unless you are talking about the removal of a patch from a pilot’s jacket, which hardly anyone noticed.
How much profit did Doctor Strange M o M make again?
Spider-Man no way home was Sony primarily, not Disney Marvel.
Shang Chi was trash.
Venom was mediocre at best.
In 2023, Disney lost $1 billion in the company’s 100th anniversary year. Let that sink in.

What an empty claim. There are people out there who make insane predictions about movie studio heads being fired that never take place. But all Nerdrotic does is post W‘s and brings receipts. I don’t understand the hate. Help me out here.
It’s one thing if you don’t care for his style, but his substance is pretty solid. Dude grew up on punk rock and comic books, and even owned a comic book store for 10 years. He’s as legit as they come when it comes to knowledge, so the “grift” claims are simply laughable.

it's a claim made by people that dont watch his videos. he's pretty insightful and witty, and he's also pretty funny in general.

Shang Chi was trash.
That's just incorrect. It's sitting at 92% critics, 98% audience score on rotten tomatoes and has a sequel on the way

If by "cherry picked" you mean they were the top 3 in domestic gross for those years, then yes. They were "cherry picked".

I guess I'll just take your word over Box Office Mojo.

She trained Mario, who was a clueless idiot without her.

You missed the outrage over the female Top Gun candidates huh?

Again, Top 3 in Domestic Box Office.

Now you're just making shite up.

Both top 3 in Domestic Office.
I thought...

This kinda shite only appeals to fanboys. Like an espn talking head bragging about their winning "picks".
Most of us would rather just watch a show/movie than watch someone else tell us what they think of it.
Especially before the show is even out and they haven't seen it.
