Disney wanting to be shove minorities on their show is worse than every business in the US being at the mercy of the government over their hiring practices?
You do realize that stuff like Save by the Bell, Starship Troopers, Power Rangers, and shite loads of others could still get produced today even with these rules.

This DEI mess goes well beyond Disney, even if this lawsuit doesn't.
And I hope you love Saved by the Bell & Starship Troopers, etc... because that'll be the level of entertainment you'll get going forward.
And Velma, LatinX White, Lil Mermaid, black Cleopatra, black Anne Boleyn, and nothing remotely historically accurate or even entertaining.
The level of cope you must wallow in to convince yourself things haven't gotten far worse in the past 10 yrs is hilarious.
And I hope you love Saved by the Bell & Starship Troopers, etc... because that'll be the level of entertainment you'll get going forward.

Wait since when are we hating on Save by the Bell? That show was awesome. And Starship Troopers still holds up to today. shite I bet if you released Starship Troopers today, the entire satire of the movie would go completely over people's heads.
The issue in Hollywood isn't solely DEI. It's that lazy hack writers know they can get their shite scripts greenlit if they just make it DEI compliant. Add the fact that streaming makes companies feel they have to bulk produce content and you see way more crap and it becomes harder to find the quality shows/movies.

Not saying it didn't have some appeal, but it never landed with me. But you're spot on about Starship Troopers.
The blue haired soy infused crowd are actually unironically vilifying it and trying to get it cancelled. They have zero grasp of what that movie was really about. It's hilarious. They literally don't understand the joke.
