I am not calling you names. I am saying your chain of being goes against the Great Chain of Being that is a hallmark of Western Civilization and Christianity. I firmly believe we are to love all creation, including animals, but not more than any person.

These are who I picture TulaneLSU's parents to be...

And this is what Tulane is.

I'm going to mourn my pets a lot more than if someone like the queen of England died who I had no personal interaction with and has had no impact on my life. I was raised to love and respect animals and people that have been good to my family and I. I take huge offense when you insult my family by saying my upbringing is flawed because of your premise. People have different ideals than you and you need to learn to accept it and not try to belittle them.

I had an anti Christian upbringing, and animals dying on screen do not bother me one bit. As far as a classical upbringing, could you be more specific? For someone who takes such obvious pride in his vocabulary, surely you can find a better term than classical to describe your ideal child-rearing method. Are we speaking of classical as in Greek? Roman? Persian? Puritan? I'm confused.

Anyway back to the thread. That Futurama cartoon is the saddest thing I've ever seen.

I'm not here being an "internet badass" I'm trying to show this guy that your morals and ideals aren't the same as everyone else. It's very insulting to make outlandish statements like that. Calling people names like little bitches, assholes, etc is easy to blow over but if someones ideals and morals don't meet yours you don't insult the person by saying he's flawed to him.which also insults your family by saying they messed up raising you. He needs to keep these sort of comments to himself.

I see absolutley NOTHING wrong with being more saddened by the death of a dog than a person. Dogs are the perfect innocent souls. And frick you if your Western Civilization religion says only humans have souls. A lot of humans are worthless pieces of shite. Dogs were a gift from God to man, an example of true unconditional love.

Right now I want to punch you in the face Tulane.

But yeah, I've seen I am Legend once, and that scene is what has kept me from rewatchng it.

I refuse to watch Marly and Me. No way.

But, one of my all time favorite books, one I've probably read 20 times, is Where the Red Fern Grows. And I blubber like a fool at the end every time.

We are desensitized to people dying because you see it so much in movies. What gets me more then anything is children dying in movies. I usually turn a movie off when a horrible death to a child happens and sometimes come back to finish it, sometimes not.

I guess it depends on the situation or cause of death of a human that's depicted on film, but yes, deaths of animals are usually much harder to watch. Donald Sutherland headbutting a cat was the worst.

maybe you need to learn to not get butthurt over a faceless comment on an internet message board from someone that has absolutely no idea who you are and the kind of person you are.

and you are trying to be an internet badass threatening to kicks someone's arse over a comment they made about you.
you should change your screen name to phil mickelson.

that's right this guy has no idea who I am and how I was raised. A comment like that saying my family and I are flawed just because I don't agree with his moral or ideals is unacceptable. I did not entice him beforehand and he comes insulting people based on morals.

Not me. The scene in Saving Private Ryan that I just can't watch anymore is when that pussy allows the German by and he ends up killing the American Soldier.

Saying this comment was faceless is completely wrong.

You're too stupid to help reason with.
faceless comment - a comment in which the reader doens't actually know who the person that said it is. Reader has never actually seen this person's FACE b/c they are on an internet message board, where interenet badass's live and people say whatever they want b/c they know they'll never meet who they are commenting on.
