The three ladies story has been a bore. Just a bunch of gossipping back and forth but for a little bit of action last night. Could've cut out of show and no one would've noticed.

when she said this I said “that’s so fricked up” out loud. It’s hilarious she is so smug about herself and yet so clueless. I wonder if she’s going to get slapped by reality in the finale?

Rick will be a sitting duck. They know he is staying at the hotel. He is not thinking or just doesn’t care anymore. Probably the latter.

Nah, old man knows it's his son (he repeated the mom's name like he was about to tell the real version of the story) and doesn't order retribution.

So, do we take Timothy looking for the gun as he had decided to go murder suicide on his wife and Saxon?

How is he even functioning after all the pills he’s taken that day?

I think he was seriously considering it. Don’t know if he would have gone through with it.

I know others have already said this, but I feel obligated to emphasize how silly the plan to pretend to be a movie producer/director to get to Sritala’s house is. Surely Mike White could have thought of a better pretext.

The "fantasy" for the old rich guy is to catch his wife getting boned so he can watch? Is this cuckold line just a trick to have a reason to kill the wife?

so, now the guard and Laurie are catching on to the Russian thief thing?

yeah, how this super successful married couple could possibly fall for that, especially how the guy was fumbling around with answers.

laurie finally gets some dick and it's all a grift? dude has a super hot gf and he's banging cougars.

Their only purpose is being the conduit to the Russian thieves storyline.

I have to admit, I didn't care for last night's episode. The fight sequences were creatively shot though.

And I hated the red chinese lanterns at Gary's house. Bad choice by the decorator.

Regarding the pretext to get in to Sritala's world ... they have enough money and aren't interested in new business ventures. Appealing to an actress returning to the limelight makes the most sense, but was a little clunky. I went to great lengths to get Scott Glenn's character background right. He had a definite idea about his journey to Thailand and his history there. Was cool to work with him on it. I thought the photos were passable ... though I didn't realize they were going in so close on some of them.

Eh, I don't think it's that bad. It plays on Sritala's vanity and the inability of a has been 'celebrity' to let go of the past. She wants one more shot at being in the spotlight and will probably overlook a lot of red flags in exchange for that. Not sure there was a better way to get her to let her guard down and invite them to her house in Bangkok. They definitely could have done a better job prepping though.

So many story lines to try to finish in the finale! I was expecting more out of this episode.

quote:

So what's the equivalent for Piper? How will Lochlan cripple her ego?

Saw it last night when he said he wanted to stay at the Monastery.

quote:

Still love Chelsea’s brutal honesty.

She could be in for some real heartbreak. Someone needs to tell her it’s not a good idea to get into a relationship with someone who she thinks needs fixing. There’s nothing spiritual about that at all.

I think you saw a glimpse of it last night w Saxton. When he placed his hands on hers, you saw an "oh-shite" moment by her and she jumped up and threw books at him.

quote:

We never really found out the story there. Was the guy his dad/did he kill the dad

Jim is 100% his long lost, dead daddy.

We're all assuming this, but I wish they would have let that conversation get to that point. That whole scene felt forced.

quote:

The black spa lady meets with the dude by herself, and then is trying to decide if she’ll take $100K from someone who married like a billionaire heiress. .

This is my least interesting story line, although it ties it back to season 2.

At least the 3 friends showed their jealousy and also the thieves, so it at least moves that along.

Anyway still alot for a finale!

I disagree. You may not like it, but this storyline is very popular with audiences right now. The shows doing really well in the ratings and a lot of it is being driven by white women.

I thought that was a really odd reaction for someone so sure of who they are. It was almost like she was freaked out something might actually happen.

Yeah some things happened this episode, but I still feel like none of these stories are going anywhere. Again, I didnt watch the first 2 seasons so I dont know how the shows operated or any back stories.

3 women storyline is stupid. However, it is completely accurate of how women act in those friend groups. Only point appears to be able to tie in the Russian heist.

Rick and that whole scene was confusing. I know they want us to believe he's so hyperfocued on revenge/etc. but no research on your cover, if you actually think the old guy is a POS he knows where you are staying, and he never got an answer. Why go through all of that and not even get an answer from the old man? If that story line really is that he killed his dad and/or forgot then its an absolute waste. There has to be some "twist"

Buck tooth girl is annoying. She acts like everyone is beneath her simply because she believes she has life figured out and fixing Rick is a higher calling.

Greg/Gary completely lowballed the masseuse for how much money he appears to have. But if what I am told is true (he didnt kill his wife), then why is he worried about this chick making his life difficult? How is that even possible? He didnt do himself any favors by the way he worded that conversation. He made himself almost seem guilty. And the cuck storyline is weird as frick.

The security guard took that job and wanted a promotion to body guard when he is against violence?

Best part of last nights episode was Parker Posey asking the young chick why she is with that creepy old man and ignoring her declaration that she loves the man. "Are you afraid of him? I can help you." I was dying.

This is true. She thought she was unique in her longing for a lesser life but Lochlan saying he wanted to runaway from the BS showed her that she was really just running away from her problems and not some enlightened Buddhist like she is trying to convince herself that she is.

I've liked it but I'm a middle-aged, white woman. Seeing bitches be catty is my jam sometimes.

I love that all three of them are inherently flawed and the power struggle there in the dynamic.
