Some of these characters do get better on White Lotus. That might be her arc. She realizes she doesn't need these pills to cope. Remember that kid that was a picked on in the first season, he got with the rowing team and suddenly found his niche in life.

The only reasonable explanation is that they are the catalyst for Valentino and crew to stage a heist during the Muay Thai fights, but I agree it is the one storyline I don't care about at this point.

I thought that was fanastic writing. She completely called her daughter's bluff. For the first time cracks in the daughter's personality started to show. She is just like every other self-hatred rich white kid who wants to shun all these comforts she has only to freak out when it is time to actually do it.

My wife follows a TikTok that talks about the wardrobe of the characters in TV shows, and the daughter is constantly wearing the most expensive clothes of any character. I definetely think that is on purpose.

Cougar storyline is so light out. I’m going to be Disappointed if it’s anything but all of them killing each other

The Ringer pod has had some good theories

1. They think the black woman will call Interpool or some agency to report Greg and they show up and Greg, Goggins and the NC Dad all think they are there for them and chaos happens

2. They think the hotel owner woman is in on it and knows who Goggins is and are setting a trap. They said she would pick up that he couldn’t name one movie she was in plus her security guards never even padded him down when he was carrying a gun.

3. They also said someone has eaten fruit or made a smoothie in each episode. They think that is foreshadowing that someone is going to get poisoned.

One thinks that the North Carolina dad will end up finding out he didn’t lose everything and has a big relief ends up drinking a poison smoothie and dying.

I didn’t think she flinched out of fear so much as surprise. I think it’s more that she wants this to be her thing separate from her family; she really didn’t want them to go check out the monastery no matter how unrealistic that wish is. Of course, her parents were going to demand to check it out. This season is about “identity” and Piper wants to develop one that is separate from her family. She’s actually going about it in a healthy, albeit extreme, way. I’m not quite sure how her codependency with Lochlan will play into all of this quite yet.

Tim is totally right that the experience would be good for her and Victoria is right to be concerned about her safety. Good father/mother dynamic there.
