Where do you rank “Friday” in terms of 90s comedies?

I say top 10 but not top 5. Id put it behind dumb and dumber, the Sandler trio of Billy Madison, happy Gilmore and water boy , and then Tommy boy. I think it’s right there with anything else after that.

It's up there for me. It's definitely one of those movies I've watched countless times.

Would agree that it’s not top 5, but solidly top ten

Friday is on that next tier of comedy with Wayne's World or some of the others you mentioned
It's funny, it's iconic but not perfect and the 4 I quoted basically are. Definitely a Top 10 but possibly not top 5 depending on preference

The disrespect for Dirty Work in this thread is appalling.

Easily top 10 comedy not just in the 90s but all time for me. Maybe top 5. I can quote the entire movie. Love Friday.

I can quite Friday better than most 90s comedies, and I can quote the frick out of some 90s comedies. So that says something.
I’d have to actually sit down and compile a list but it’s gotta be solidly top ten for me, if not higher. I may revisit this thread in the morning when I’m at a computer and actually make a list.
Also, one that would be on my list but maybe not others is Saving Silverman. Excellent comedy.

The combined Friday movies elevate it. They’re all hilarious.

I love watching the Friday After Next this time of year with the Christmas theme. Pinky, Money Mike and Damon (OG triple OG) are hilarious.

That’s a great idea actually. Haven’t seen it in a few years. Thank you

There were so many great comedies in the 90s. Friday gets put in the ‘easy to watch’ class. Meaning it’s one of the most rewatchable ones. Wouldn’t call it great tho.
The 90s were a great era for white people being introduced to ‘black movies’. Friday, Boyz in tha Hood, Menace II Society, etc.

I went thru this list and copied and pasted the ones I saw from the 90's. Then I ranked them the way I saw them. I may have missed it.
