I need to make sure I sell my blu ray copy before a miracle new release is announced, like what happened with Near Dark :/

I also own PCU on DVD (I don't think it has a bluray release)

Ernest is by far my most favorite nostalgic movie and always will be. Bought the DVD decades ago and introduced my kids to it. Ernest Goes To Camp is completely separate from all the other movies, it's a genuine good movie even with him singing the sad pitty song. All they wanted was a hero. All he needed was friend.

Fun fact: in the poker playing scene, he talks about working as a roughneck down in Delacroix.

To be fair, his phone getting hacked gave us the Fappening so maybe he doesn't ruin everything.

(that was always my favorite conspiracy theory. It wasnt some huge cabal trying to hack all the celebs...it was Harvey's icloud that got hacked and gave us that crazy moment in internet lore)

PCU is awesome. It’s an absolute cult classic. Jeremy Piven is a star, and there’s just enough Pauly Shore to be amusing, but not enough to get annoying.

Was Pauly Shore in PCU?

He was playing David Spade who in turn was playing a stiff Freshman legacy rich kid. It was Pauly Shore’s greatest work.

Apparently Ernest Goes To Jail is suppressed by Disney because the Native American in the movie, Iron Eyes Cody, was actually Italian.

I seriously doubt that when it's been released on Blu-ray 3 different times by Disney.

More than likely it's just been packaged up in a random group of movies in a licensing package that isn't currently in any streamers rotation and they aren't selling it digitally b/c they don't feel like paying residuals on it. It's somewhat similar to how Dutch isn't for sale anymore and will vanish from all cable nets and streaming services for extended periods of time.

Shannon Hamilton : You wanna say something?

Brodie : Yeah. About a million things, but I can't express myself monosyllabically enough for you to understand 'em all. [the videotape of Shannon back-dooring Trica is playing on the big screen, with cheesy 70s porno music in background]

Shannon Hamilton : Yeah, who's your favorite New Kid. Yeah, call me Joey. Oh, come on. Don't make me get loose. Yeah, that's right. Call me Donnie. Oh, girl. Oh, please don't go girl.

Jay : Goddamn. This is one wacky game show.

Brodie : [to the cops] Hey! That girl's only 15! [cops focus their attention on Shannon]

Shannon Hamilton : Ah, 15. I thought she was 36! [cops are approaching him]

Shannon Hamilton : Come on, guys. Tell me you wouldn't have popped her.

PCU has been blackballed for years on streaming... And we all know why....the mindset it ruthlessly mocks, is in charge.

All these are on Archive.org. I've watched them all there within the last year.

Mallrats is available for and rent and purchase everywhere. Ernest Goes to Camp has been available on Hulu within the past year. These aren't being hidden from us.

Because it was bomb that was forgotten instantly by almost everyone that has really expensive music rights that would need to be cleared. Seems very likely that 20th Century hasn't felt incentivized to deal with the headache that only a very small number of people would care about and benefit from. Most of them seem to post here.

Well that's not remotely true....like many movies with poor Box Office, it became a cult classic like Office Space which BARELY recouped its budget in the theaters.

Unless when you say "everyone" you assume everyone went to Cal....

And you're the Mayor of San Francisco.

Office Space was released in theaters yet became a cult classic.

By contrast, Idiocracy escaped into a bare number of theaters before hitting on video because Fox wanted it to go away and did the bare minimum required by their distribution contract.
