I tried the first few episodes The Wire but never could get into it.

I have watched the first 10 minutes of the first episode three or four times but have never managed to make it stick. Feel that one.

Peaky Blinders. I couldn't understand what they were saying half the time. I may give it a second chance with subtitles but I'm not big on binge reading.

Game of Thrones. I've never been into the fantasy genre but people were proclaiming it the best show ever so I thought maybe there was some amazing substance there, I just didn't find it.

Friends too. Just so damn corny

BB. I know it’s universally praised. But the scene early in season one with the bathtub incident just threw me off forever. I just couldn’t come to care about any character and therefore couldn’t care for the show. No matter how good it was.

The character Walter White transitions from a bumbling cuck into a terrifying Scarface. You stopped watchng when he was a bumbling cuck. The character arc is essential viewing.

Better call Saul. Loved Breaking Bad but the whole guy allergic to electricity is just stupid and way too long and slow.

Yellowstone for me. I saw clips of it on social media with some angry white woman beating up people and it just seemed...corny.

Power. All my friends love it and its spinoffs, but it just seemed corny to me.

The Last of Us. Looks like a great show, but Bella Ramsey was great in GOT, but I can't stand looking at her for some reason. Plus she's non-binary and a vegan. Just the wort kind of person.

Then you can probably add Shogun to your list, too.

I understand the mentions of Breaking Bad and The Wire, it took me a couple tries to get into those as well.

Its absolutely one of the best shows ever, especially until season 6.

For me, it's Lost. I watched the first season or two and while I found it interesting, I also found myself thinking, "There is no way they are going to come up with some kind of payoff for all of this weirdness that I am going to find satisfying." I eventually gave up when they kept introducing more and more strange twists and odd happenings and the whole thing just didn't seem to be going anywhere.

Oh good I’m not alone.

A few weeks ago I saw the complete series on sale for $35 on Apple. Always wanted to watch it and the only place is through AMC streaming or buying it.

I'm 4 episodes in and don't get the appeal so far. I'm hoping it gets better as you get to know the characters. At this point it seems almost like an SNL skit about how men acted in this time period, but amplified.

I'm not asking if I should keep going...I wouldn't bail on an such an acclaimed show after just a couple of episodes. But I am wondering if it does get better. Advertising might be like medical dramas to me...I just don't care too much about the genre.

I probably didn't give it enough time but I've tried watching it a few times and it just hasn't stuck yet.

I didn't mind the first season, but that second season at the farm house was just a SLOG. It pretty much completely lost me.

Sopranos - just recently tried to get through the pilot and could not.

Succession

Yellowstone - this is the one I just refuse to watch based on what I've heard.
