Due Date.
Watched about 30 minutes and there was zero chemistry between the leads and I hadn't laughed once.
So I saw looked at my phone and saw another film was about to start. Got up and watched that instead.
Usually, I just suffer through crap movies.
I fell asleep during one of the Pirates of Caribbean sequel. The last one was unwatchable.

Robert Downey Jr. plays Peter Highman, an expectant first-time father whose wife's due date is only days away. As he hurries to catch a flight home to Los Angeles from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor and disaster-magnet Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) leads to the two of them being tossed off the plane and placed on a no-fly list...while Peter's luggage, wallet and ID take off without him. With no alternatives in sight, Peter is forced to hitch a ride with Ethan and his canine traveling companion on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter's last nerve.

I’ve never walked out of a movie in theater and find it incredibly weird that people do. I only go to the cinemas for movies I’m quite sure I’ll like well enough to sit still for a couple of hours

Mark of the Devil, 1970. When they pulled a guy's tongue out of his head, well that was enough for a 14 year old at the time.

I've told this on here before. I walked out of an animated version of The Hobbit in the 70's. I think it was the 1977 version, but I'm not sure. The friend I went with & I got really high before we went. Something about the movie freaked both of us out, so we left. It wasn't because it was a bad movie. We were just too wasted to sit thru it. We immediately went somewhere and ate to settle us down when we left the theater.
That's the only movie I remember walking on.
ETA: I did go to the bathroom with about 10 minutes of The Thin Red Line left, and waited for the people I went with in the theater lobby. That's not really walking out, but I didn't think I would be missing anything that was earth shattering.

So you see what, 2-3 movies per year? Some people see dozens of movies per year, the odds increase you’ll find a clunker.
Sometimes movies just suck, but I think most people just change theaters. Some likely demand a refund.

I remember seeing the comedy Bruno in the theater and AT THE TICKET COUNTER there was a sign saying:
NO REFUNDS
When the penises (peni?) the in opening showed up I saw at least two guys walk out.

Bolero with Bo Derek. Not even her bare tits were enough to keep me in the theater.
I would have walked on Out Of Africa, but my wife liked it, so I napped while she watched.

Another vote for “Annie Hall”. The only movie I ever walked out of during the first 30 minutes.
“Howard the Duck” but I watched it almost to the end.
And, just the other night I checked out of “Tar” but I was in my recliner so it probably doesn’t count. Pretentious and boring.

Fell asleep during the second or third Star Wars prequel. Can't for the life of me remember a single plot point from the trilogy. Mindnumbingly dull.
I made it through about 15 minutes of Elf before I switched it off on the CD player. Painfully unfunny.

The only movie I remember walking out on is The Postman. It was just laughably awful.

Gone Fishing. Joe Pesci and Danny Glover. Don't remember anything about it

The only one I’ve ever walked out of was Little Shop of Horrors.
With streaming available now I’ve turned a few off.

I would've walked out of Spawn and The Ninth Gate, but in both instances a friend drove and didn't have a choice.
I fell asleep during The Last Airbender and never started it back up, so I guess I would consider that walking out.

Due Date had some laughs later. The coffee scene and Downey/Foxx gunning the truck made me laugh

I’m a big cinephile and watch dozens at home throughout the year, including new ones since they’re now streaming within a couple of months of release generally. I do love the theater experience though for releases that warrant it. I don’t really count but I’d guess around 8-12 depending on the year I’ll go out to see.
Primarily it’s either major releases that are best viewed in theaters (Avatar: TWoW, Top Gun: Maverick, Dune), franchises I’m a fan of and don’t wanna risk being spoiled (MCU, Star Wars, Bond, F&F, etc.), or ones that were off my radar and just have great word of mouth (Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Gentlemen). Then there’s the occasional other one of interest that I could wait for but decide to go see (Uncharted, Glass Onion).
Some are better than others obviously, but I specifically choose ones that I’m interested enough in to see through. People on here almost suggest walking out of a movie is a badge of honor, which is just silly to me. If you have a doubt you’ll like something, simply don’t go hunting for unhappiness. It’s not hard.

Sweeney Todd. Three of us, after about 15 minutes, walked out. One buddy had fallen asleep.
