The greats having been named, I'll submit Burn After Reading as their most underrated. Brad Pitt was fantastic. As was Malkovich. Clooney, Richard Jenkins, Tilda Swinton, J.K. Simmons, and of course Frances McDormand. Biting satire as only the Coens can do.

1. Miller’s Crossing
2. Blood Simple
3. No Country

In that exact order.

It changes. Lebowski, o brother, Fargo, NCFOM, and True Grit rotate in the number one spot, depending on which one I last saw

Good answers.

If there's anyone who hasn't watched Blood Simple yet, go watch it. Not there best, but the elements are there.

O Brother Where Art Thou is one of my favorite movies of all time. I think a lot of it has to do with the setting where my mom’s parents both grew up along with my mom Being raises in the same area. Big Lebowski, No Country, and Fargo are certainly up there for me too. Recently saw Burn after reading for the first time and throughly enjoyed it as well.

They're almost all great. The Ladykillers is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that isn't, and it even has its good moments.

I just want to bring up Blood Simple and The Hudsucker Proxy as lesser thought of but quality Coen Brother movies.

As the one that discovers the body or the fat sailor kid?

1) Big Lebowski
2) Fargo
3) Miller's Crossing
4) Buster Skruggs

I haven't seen Blood Simple in ~10 years so I'll need to give it another look.

Though I agree I think True Grit is underrated work of theirs

The fact that I’m not bothering to choose a favorite or even rank should speak volumes.

I am surprised that movie isn't more popular. Maybe it's because every character is an arse but I love it.

Raising Arizona is my favorite movie period. Every line delivers.

Before Fargo, Blood Simple was widely considered their best movie. In fact, a lot of the review back when Fargo came out referenced Blood Simple, saying they finally topped their debut.

I'm not sure why Blood Simple's reputation has steadily declined since then, probably because it is so clearly a low budget independent film, and audiences are less patient with that kind of thing, but Blood Simple is friggin brilliant. That final scene still might be the best thing they've ever shot.

These, but not that order. Can't stand TBL.

Raising Arizona. At least once a week, something happens that warrants a line from that movie.
