Is this why it won a Golden Globe?

Silence Of The Lambs - Sgt. Pembry gets maced in the face, then his face
gets peeled off with a pocketknife.
Officer Boyle gets beats senseless by a wooden
baton, then gets eviscerated and then hung from
the top of the jail cell with his guts hanging out.

I mean, from the same movie: Homeboy gets his eyes taken out and eaten, and all of his limbs chopped off, and put into an oven while he's still alive. Just brutal.

Edit: Just rewatched, they cut his head off before putting him in the oven.

That was one death scene that made me feel sick. I've always skipped past it on rewatches. Nicky whackin' that lady in her kitchen was pretty creepy too

That got me maybe more than any scene. Any little kid scene hits about 1000x harder

I somehow never saw the movie Backcountry until the other night and I knew a bear was going to be involved, but I didn't expect the scene to be that realistic. Everything about it looked and sounded exactly like what you'd expect to happen on an innocent camping trip. Blew me away with how chilling it was

And Quint's screaming in Jaws always gets to me no matter how many times I've seen it, especially the last bit when he spits up blood and you realize that was him being bitten in half
