He's pretty much awesome in everything. Gus would have to be my favorite of his characters. Colonel Kilgore is also awesome, and really the only thing I like about that movie.

Like others have said, I think his best role is The Apostle.

He is an amazing actor. I love this scene from Secondhand Lions.

The Apostle. He should have won for it, but they gave it to Nicholson for the very average As Good As It Gets.
