So was Ford more or less living in "The Matrix" and now he downloaded himself onto Bernard?

Total side note...one of the things I've enjoyed about Westworld is some of the nods to old Western movie imagery and motif, a lot of which is probably obvious to the film experts around here but I'm not an expert so some of it is interesting to me.
Just noticed the ronin character in Shogun World looks a lot like the main guy in Yojimbo:
And Yojimbo helped inspire A Fist Full of Dollars and the Clint Eastwood Man With No Name character:
So some of the parallel storylining between Westworld and Shogun World may have been a fun nod to the Spaghetti Westerns and Kurosowa crossover classics.

No question. the Nolans are huge Kurosawa fans

I did have a pet peeve with some dude wanting to get laid while there were dead people bleeding out everywhere
I had more trouble with MIB getting hit multiple times but it only took one shot to take out each Host in that shootout. But minor point....
Things I'm pretty sure of:
Emily will come save her Dad.
Charlotte is being led into a trap.
Scottish Security guy (Coughlin) is down but not out after Teddy beating.
Everything else is just swirling around.
There's the Ghost Nation to understand. They seem to be a built in virus protection for the park and, if so, who programmed them?
Elsie needs to turn back up.
Is the MIB on the IR list until next season leaving him on the sideline to watch the big showdown this year between Dolores and Charlotte via Ford-in-Bernarnold?
All the Hosts floating in the "sea" continues to be a head scratcher. Who did that?
Thanks TigerstuckinMS for the Bernard timeline rundown. It certainly helps but, for me, there are still pieces out of place.
I maybe in the minority but I've enjoyed this season better than the 1st. Though I guess I should wait until it plays out.

I didn't know that. Something else got me reading about Yojimbo last night and a dim light bulb flickered in my head.
The only other source I had thought about before was the old Moebius comic book series Blueberry. A lot of similar scenery in Westworld, though I don't know if that's any direct influence. Maybe indirect at best, since it supposedly had some influence on the Spaghetti Westerns of the '60s.

The perfect Charlotte scene would be her naked and having sex and then she gets shot.

If you say so. Has the body of a kid. Ugh.

To her credit, she is doing a pretty convincing job as smug, cunty company lady. She's easy on the eyes too. She will definitely bite it by the end of the season, though. She doesn't really have any redeeming qualities
