What a horrible sequel to BB. I remember passively watching it, but just watched after a 3rd BB rewatch.

Jesse looks about 30 years older, Todd is 50lbs overweight, nobody can capture their former character quite right. Even Skinny and Badger were awkward.

Jesse being a sniper with a .22 was just stupid and didn’t fit his former character at all.

They could’ve had a scene where we got confirmation Gretchen and Elliot gave money to the retard. Jesse going back to check on Skyler and/or Marie as he was a sympathetic one. Nope…nothing but fat Todd.

That’s all.

I don't hate it, but it could've been better

Yeah they waited too long to do it. Everyone is too old and fat.

Yall are right, They did wait too long to complete it.

I still enjoyed the ending. Even if the characters didnt "fit" quite right.
It was still good.

I don’t think it was a disaster, I just think it was very unnecessary. Sometimes leaving the endings of individual characters to the imagination is better.

Better Call Saul struggled with this too, I especially noticed Tuco in season 1 being old and fat. But the story was good enough to paper over it and I never really cared. El Camino was very forgettable.

I enjoyed it. Yeah, everyone was old and fat, but it fit pretty well and had a good story.

Honestly, it's worth it just for this.

I think people’s (myself included) expectations were of what Breaking Bad was. It was gonna be impossible to replicate that especially with all the years that passed

Todd was a hopeless romantic.

If Lydia had gave it up to him he might have hung up the cleats on being a heartless psychopath

It wasn’t a disaster at all. It was a perfect prolog. A little more of the Breaking Bad story without doing any harm to the BB perfect ending. What more do you want?

This is a common criticism and it’s dumb. Do you remember the extended period of time he was under mikes arm in Breaking Bad? Do you think that as meticulous as Mike was that he wouldn’t teach his right hand man gun play? Did you see the episode of BB when he was formidable in a gunfight with the cartel? To act like Jesse has never shot a gun is simply not true.

When did Jesse fire a .22? Answer carefully.

Why on Earth would Jesse do that? That would make no sense at all

El Camino is something no one wanted or needed, but if we had to have a sequel-film, it turned out as well as possible. Didn't feel wildly different from Breaking Bad and it didn't cheapen the original.

It was an epilogue to clear the creators mind and conscious of all the cr app he put Jesse through. Just like any book with the epilogue that gives you updates on the characters.

I think with BCS coming out he didn’t want the “where is Jesse” question consistently coming up. And instead of a “oh he’s in Alaska” comment, wanted to do his character service with a movie. I liked it because I love the universe.
