I just finished watching Waco on Netflix and Ive never been angrier in my life.

Reminds me of when I watched Titanic and realized we lost Jack Dawson for no good reason.

No way that many should have died but maybe the deaths of those children are on their brainwashed parents hands. A lawful authority with a legal warrant begged them for almost two months to leave the compound. Leave and answer to authorities like they saw other Davidians do, or stay and risk you and your childrens lives for Koresh. They chose poorly.

This. It was like when the fbi shot up the country concert in Las Vegas. The Branch Davidians would be trump supporters if they were still alive

So weird to see people justifying the killing of law abiding albeit weird Americans by the govt. Multiple witnesses testified that Koresh could have been easily picked up with no bloodshed, instead the ATF with their little brother syndrome decided they needed to flex.

Like I said, you need to read the warrants.
So warrants make it true? GTFO

A few buddies and myself drove out to the site when we were in school a decade or so ago pretty drunk and drove like 100 feet within the entrance before we saw 2-3 vehicles start coming towards us.

We hightailed it out of there and they chased us for 4-5 miles. I was legitimately scared
To the BD compound? It's on a public road, they have an unlocked gate and they give tours

It's been a long time since I watched Rules of Engagment. Wasnt the idea they pump the gas to try to encourage the parent to flee with the kids but it was so much in such a small space they immobilized them and made it impossible to escape the fire

It was so much that it caused the kids to spasm so violently that they broke their backs and died.

Will never understand after watching, why they didn’t just surveil and pick up Koresh while he was eating pizza in town. He apparently went a certain day every week.

Im not justifying it but these people let their leader marry and get 12-13 year old girls pregnant. I feel bad for the kids but the adults... Eh.

Yeah I don't believe you, several youtubers have gone over the last decade, they gate it when it's closed and it's bunch of old people now who appear to be real friendly about giving a tours and talking.

I guess the idiots at the ATF should switched over to their kid friendly bullets and fire.

Once again, I hate that kids were killed and I wish they weren't. Their parents the rest of the adults don't really deserve sympathy

Anger about this usually isn't about sympathy for the BDs, it's more about how fricked up of a job our government did here. How bad the people were or weren't that they did this to is irrelevant. That's just a smoke screen from actually examining the actions of the ATF and FBI. It's exactly the reason the ATF chose this group.

the "greatest nation on earth" waged war on them for no fricking reason

There were 2 reasons:

1. They practiced extreme religious beliefs well outside the mainstream, and

2. They chose to be heavily armed.

From a certain perspective, they were begging to be made examples of - sort of a whole "frick you" to the first 2 amendments to the Constitution.

1. First fricking Amendment

2. They sold legal weapons at gun shows to support themselves. Second fricking Amendment.

There were ZERO illegal weapons in Mt. Carmel. There was Zero evidence that they posed any kind of threat.
