Come the hell on, people. This is going to be yet another mind-numbing barrage of CGI and empty action that lacks any substance like its JW predecessors and you guys know it.

They're really making another one of these?

I don’t think they have any intention of stopping making these movies

Even if this movie turns out bad, it’ll still make a solid amount of money

Despite it being terrible the last one made over a billion so they're going to keep making them as long as they keep making money

It's always funny when people jump into these threads asking "why are they making this"? Maybe because the last 3 all made over a billion. This franchise is bulletproof and if this film is good, it'll likely make 1.5B +

Not that it’s be hard but even the trailers are a million times better than the shite spewed out for JW3.

Looks like some horror elements. Turn the Dino’s back into Alien like monsters and we have something.

looks like the scene with T-Rex hunting in the river from the book is the one they brought back, very excited about that,

why cant they just let this die?

Do an original Hulu or Netflix longform series that has a storyline if anything.

Scarlett looks cringe in this

Which fast food chain will do a promo for this film or is that even a thing anymore?

Dairy Queen did something with them a few years ago. Had a special “Jurassic Chomp” blizzard.

the crichton book is one of my all time favorites. The second book is pretty good too (goes into long discussions about herd mentality and such), but I never really bought in to the idea that the animals (particularly the large, mobile animals) could stay isolated on the islands.

and in the original book it ends with the idea that escape by natural means is inevitable; I’m not sure why that narrative wasn’t ever taken to its logical next step. For example, the flying and swimming dinos could easily leave the island anytime they wanted, and observations of modern birds show that many would become migratory. So while that scene with the mosasaur was cool, why would it be anywhere near that island? There’s nothing at all keeping it there

anyway

Looks fun. Not really happy about a family being there, but will wait and see. I was hoping for just the military type team going in to get whatever and get out.

Also how many islands did Hammond use?

At this point my script for a Jurassic Park film would consist of drones, satellite imagery and heat maps, and the occasional air strike. It's a tight 30 minute movie.

Could have explored that in Dominion but instead... Locusts.

I absolutely HATED the last one. The only highlight of the last movie was the guy next to me threatening to kick the shite out of the guy in front of us because he kept checking his phone. I only went because my friend bought my ticket because he didn’t want to go alone.

That may have been the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater. Just felt like a slap in the face. Still I'm a glutton for punishment so I'll probably see this one.
