It's an expensive cartoon.

I'd rather watch a cartoon with an interesting story. Avatar has always hit me more as a theme park attraction than a movie.

My kids wanted to see it after getting out for the holidays yesterday, it was better than the second one IMO

Avengers, Mando & Grogu, and The Odyssey prologue.

I thought this one was okay. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Way of Water and this one just rehashed that. I’d watch a 4th but I don’t care if it doesn’t get made.

Captian America holding what looks to be his baby in the 50s.

Then black screen saying Captian America will return

Ehhh it was different enough from Way of Water. Some similarities but a clone it was not.

I enjoy the movies. Am I going to sit around talking about them all day? No. But I don’t do that for 99% of movies I see.

I do think it’s funny that people complain about not having original movies will complain all day about Avatar. They’ll say it’s just a rehash of several different other sci-fi/fantasy/environmental movies and then circlejerk A New Hope with absolutely no sense of the hypocrisy

100% agree. I NEVER use RT for a credible review source.

The movie needed an editor.

It stopped being whatever version of original existed after the first one.

Film was great. It did need a better ending though.

There is nothing at all unique or memorable from the entire universe of Avatar. It’s a soulless slop fest

Took the wife and kids (boys) to see the 2nd one in the movie theater. It was one of the most incredibly boring movies i've ever seen. It looks, visually, neat, but the story is so stale and there was nothing about the characters we cared about. Also, it seemed like the movie was 3 hours long. My kids were in agony begging to leave.

That's probably mainly b/c Lucas never really sniffed his own farts on Star Wars the way Cameron has done w/Avatar. Lucas was always very upfront about those movies being meant to imitate 40s movie serials aimed at kids. Cameron, meanwhile, gets visibly upset whenever anyone questions the the writing and farts out box office numbers to deflect all comments and criticism.
