The first point on the DGA IATSE list is dumb. Why merge if there is no savings there?

The last point about remaining to be based in Los Angeles is stupid too. The studios are supposed to bleed money and be held hostage?

DGA and IATSE are smart in wanting to get this settled quickly becuase uncertainity and a lengthly delay will result in the demise of both studios.
Cheers - 11 season, 275 episodes
MASH - 11 seasons, 256 episodes
Seinfeld - 9 seasons, 180 episodes

I still watch them whenver they are on.

Favorite seasons of the series mentioned above
Cheers- seasons starting when Rebecca appears (season 6)
MASH - seasons starting when Potter and BJ appear (season 4)
Seinfeld - the entire series
Mickey Mouse
Bugs Bunny
Felix The Cat
Hello Kitty
This is political. The states want to bleed Paramount dry and hurt Ellison. The workers at both companies are screwed either way. Better for the merger to go through quickly to cause less harm.
Moving the corporate headquaters out of state and keeping else in California is a good idea.
She looks like a teenage boy instead of a 39 year old woman.
Interesting subject and will eventually see it when it streams. Not the type of movie I will see in the movie theater.

It isn't going to do well.
Jimmy is the most changed/evolved/improved character. The others not too much. Jamie changed more than the remaining characters. The others for the most part stayed the same.

re: Who Will Buy NBC Universal?

My money is on Netflix.

Lionsgate - NBC Universal merger? Possibly.

Apple isn't interested in a studio otherwise it would have gone after Warner Bros.

Sony - NBC Univesral. Not going to happen.
Buying James Bond would have been a good acquisition. Too bad.

Merging with Apple would have been interesting. Maybe Apple wants to be hardware and software company. Too bad.
Saw Only in Monroe on Youtube. It was released last Friday. Colbert was the host. Not bad. It seemed to be a one off. Colbert's last Only in Monroe show was right before he started on The Late Show.

I wish I can watch the late night shows on the day it happens. As I mentioned I am sleeping then. I quite frankly don't have any interest to watch it the followng day. Have other things to do.
The late night shows are on too late for me now. I watched them when Letterman and Leno were on. Started watching Letterman when he started on CBS. The only Carson show I saw was the last one.

I watched Colbert's last show. Thought it was good.

Watched Comics Unleashed the following night and thought it sucked.

The last late night show will be The Tonight Show. It will never go off the air. NBC will keep in on even if it loses money and outlasts the others. CBS will not return and ABC will give it up after Kimmel is gone.

Too much has changed since Carson and Leno. The internet killed late night and Saturday Night Live. Politics has some impact, but not as big.

Insurance is the problem.

My dad has insurance, but it can be cancelled at any time. Insurance cannot be purchased where he lives becuse of the fire danger. It has been that way for several decades.
RIP Ted.

He is a one of one as someone once said.

I grew following him and Turner Broadcasting. Wrote school reports and gave presenations on it.

His impact on society is tremendous. His impact is up there with only a few others.
Action (1999) starring Jay Mohr. Short lived show.

Sledge Hammer!
"I like the window approach - focus on a week or a month or a year instead of a comprehensive history/arc. Draw in history in snippets for context.

Estates often take issue with this, preferring a full story, but I think the movie almost always suffers for it.

I'm drawing a blank on a good comparable, but Darkest Hour or Air come to mind (obviously the latter is more about Nike than Jordan)."

Would "My Week With Marilyn" be a good example?

I saw this movie when it came out and thought it was ok.

The acting and writing are bad.

Maybe it might get better.

Hopefully The Dutton Ranch will be good.

The first two seasons are usually the best. I am not sure if Marshals is his or not, but it became horrible on the first episode.

His shows are generally better than others.

Not sure. Some more than others. Mostly the same. I usually have them now on in the background if they are showing. Bad answer I know
