thats what i had thought originally, then when he was leaving the office, the other officer's comment threw me off. I thought maybe he had accepted her offer.

Just handing him a picture seems like very little to have so much leverage over him.
I was kinda let down but him being the masked guy doing the "shh" in episode one. That really reminded me of the North Hollywood shootout back in the 90s. Thought it was going to be something much cooler than what it turned out to be.
Oh well, It's still the best thing on TV right now so I'll keep watching for sure.

I think it's pretty clear that is way way way down the list on his priorities.
He'd have to chill with her for a half hour for the blue to start working anyway.

I'm not sure how the legal process works in situations like that. In a "he said, she said" situation with no proof at all (he wasn't wearing a lapel mic I assume), why would his superiors trust a citizen (one who was drunk at the time and guilty of breaking multiple laws) over their own LEO? Just for good press?

His demeanor towards that officer even further confirms it
She accused him of it, and the rumors spread of what she accused. He's getting razzed about it and he's pissed because he actually did the right thing and is getting screwed

I'm sure its been mentioned but it appears that all of the previews from the show were from e1 so it looks like nothing was given away, unlike what other people originally thought.
