Why did Rust say that Ginger was 'in the ditch'? He was in the car. Is the ditch slang for the area in the car with missing seats? Or is he going to kill Ginger?

i think he was just making a joke.

Some people take the carcosa mythology way too seriously. It's a metaphor folks.

So I am guessing Rust has been storing all of his gathered evidence in the storage locker?

Yeah, and I doubt he wants the "company men" to find and/or destroy it. He also probably has stuff taken from crime scenes in there and doesn't want them to be able to use it to frame him, which they are obviously trying to do.

I disagree. He either dumped him in a ditch where he would be found or the "ditch" is what he called that area of the truck

If you think the ending is going to suck, we don't need a 10 page explanation as to how you came up with it.

Either discuss what we're watching or just leave it be

Yeah...that's what I was thinking.

I am sure this has been discussed...but does anyone else think that the falling out between the two is fabricated?

what would be a satisfactory conclusion to the story in your mind?

there are hundreds/thousands of possibilities

Which is why I don't understand why you're latching on to your "one and only path to an end" theory.

The only thing that seemed odd was that he didn't flinch when Marty killed Ledoux. This was before he knew why Marty pulled the trigger. Maybe he's numb to death and violence after being in the action for a while.

I think Rust knew exactly who Ledoux was, and needed no further evidence. As sharp as he is, he likely figured it out immediately given the way Marty just came out and blew the dude's head off.

Speaking of Sheriffs, the bunny ranch had some connection to law enforcement. I think this was in Ascension Parish (the bunny ranch was south of Spanish Lake).

Yeah, when they inquired about the Hillbilly Bunny ranch, the owner told them to feel free to call the local Sheriff about it. So he knew.

It's funny you say that, every time I closed my eyes last night I felt like the green eared spaghetti monster was in my face.

Maybe he was!

I don't think so. I think the falling out has to do with Rust discovering Marty's daughter is tied into the plot. The preview for episode 6 showed them arguing. May have been just a simple argument and not a 'fall out.' I don't know. It can go any direction from here

what if her drawings are the result of eavesdropping on Dad's conversations about work? Kids pick up on all kinds of shite (i'm told) so its not unreasonable to think she just may be a curious kid that drew pics or staged dolls based on the shite she heard her parents discussing. As for her teenage years, its not odd (sadly) that a teen would dress "goth" or experiment sexually. if for no other reason than to piss off her cop dad who fricked around on mom. That might be an angle as opposed to the molested thing.

I keep looking back to the scene where Rust is at Marty's house and he and the older daughter stare at each other for a while. There had to be something to that.
