How did they get Ginger to say where Reggie was?

That is because he has a sixth sense about guilt. Everybody is guilty of something.

they didn't. Ginger set them up with dewell. MArty tailed Dewell to Ledoux's lab.

Which is why I don't understand why you're latching on to your "one and only path to an end" theory.

Not anymore. We have no reason to think Ginger knows anything about the cult(at least at can't remember a conversation where it is mentioned). He knew Ledoux as a meth/LSD cook and a potential murderer. Ginger doesn't seem like the type to run to the cops and Rust and Marty are done using the biker gang.

this is exactly what i was worried about discussing episode 1 and rust (i just didn't fully conceptualize it at that time).

I've been reading your opinions since the show started and I believe you are suffering from confirmation bias. Most of your original fears regarding pacing have failed to materialize, yet you still hold on to this shitty ending theory. Regardless of how the season concludes, I get the feeling that you will proclaim it wasn't done correctly.

The show is moving along at a perfect pace, and the final three episodes have a plethora of backstory upon which they can build. In your eyes, it took them 5 episodes to solve the original murder. However, as someone else pointed out in this thread, most of those episodes were laying the groundwork for the conclusion of the series. You're viewing the "present" and the Lake Charles murder as a entirely different story line, when in fact it is all part of the same arc.

i don't see how rust doesn't kill ginger

ginger is completely fricked. his crew is dead. he's gone. miles' meth cook dies. i'm sure people at the party saw some new guy talking with ginger RIGHT before this all happened. also ginger, rust, AND marty are now linked to a bunch of murders in beaumont (way too much heat) and can blow rust's former UC-ness (leads to the possibility of revenge or, at the least, exposing rust's cover story to LSP)

The risk of that lose end could burn them later if the feds got to him. Rust took care of that problem.

Can anyone confirm that Reggie Ledoux's hideout/cook shack was in Alluvial City/Shell Beach/Yscloskey area in St. Bernard Parish? The barren/desolate trees (looked stripped of everything) and the gas plant in the distance looked like the one in Yscloskey... $.02

Ginger and his gang don't seem like they are ones to just let someone set them up/use them and then say "ah yeah, it's cool"

If the ditch doesn't mean the back of the car, is this the first time we have seen Rust lie to Marty? I know he tells him he doesn't drink because he's had problems with it in the past, but that may not be a lie.

Exactly the same problem with Grantland's writer, though I haven't read his recent installment.
