Salo sounds crazy. For all those listing seven, the top 3 of this list make seven seem like the little mermaid...or so it sounds by the description.

I'm actually watching Salo as I type this. I hate subtitles and the cinematography is painful. The content is very wierd, but it's not something that I will carry with me. It's kind of silly actually.
If you've seen it, the President guy (cross-eyed one), his face freaks me the hell out.
ETA: way too much dudity

This is how I would think I'd feel after watching that too.
I ordered Cannibal Holocaust, Men Behind the Sun, and Hard Candy from Amazon last night. The cheapest Salo I saw was like 30 bucks, and it's not worth it. Can you watch it online anywhere? I've tried to find CH online before, with not much luck. So I just bought it. It at least seems interesting enough, and is worth it for me to own one of the alleged most fricked movies ever.
I still need to buy Clockwork Orange (I've seen most of it), but I should be able to just get that at Best Buy for pretty cheap.
The only ones on that list I've seen is The Hills Have Eyes, and most of CO.

Clockwork was so surreal it was more creative than disturbing for me.
Blue Velvet and Oldboy have great stories that make for good viewing in spite of disturbing scenes.
The other foreign ones I dunno.
For disturbing I list-
Ed Gein and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Both of these will make you give strangers a second look. They also both scare the hell out of you with anticipation rather than showing the gorey acts themselves. E.G. is a true story too- yiiiiaaaaa

I started a thread below called Martyrs. I guess this place is where I should have put that thread. I haven't seen every movie on this list, but I know a good bit about them all.
This movie Martyrs, IMO, should be on this top 10 list. Its just flat out disturbing. It left me feeling emotionless and completely drained for a good 2 hours.
For me, it was the best/most graphic and just truly horrifying exposure to torture I have ever seen, and could even imagine. In a movie like, Hostel, there is an emotional way out, not so with this film. You're locked in, and in the same seat as the character on screen and go through a transformation just as they do.
We've all seen in movies where someone being tortured ends up 'crazy' or 'demented' or perhaps even ends up indentifying with their torturers. Well, this movie straps you in and puts you in that seat and lets you see what its really like. And its horrible. Or beautiful, depending on how you want to look at it.

A while back I downloaded a torrent of Salo and CH. I'll look for Salo again and post the link to the torrent. I'll have to watch CH again because I don't remember much about it but Salo deserves to be #1. I haven't seen a more disgusting disturbing movie in my life. He mentions Irreversible but that should have been in the top ten because of the long rape scene and the fire extinguisher scene.
Here's a few torrents for Salo.

the fire extinguisher scene.
That scene is bad. No doubt. But its one scene.

i didn't find hard candy disturbing. i mean i guess the dialogue could bother some people if they have issues with pedohiles. i kept seeing it on these types of lists and watched it expecting to see something twisted and it really isn't IMO

Psst, hey Dale, I see nipples and blow jobs on that link. I won't tell any admins though.

Guess I'll edit.
