quote:There is. Actually, Rick starts at the hospital in Kentucky, then goes to Atlanta looking for his wife and Carl. It's a super long way and it seemed to take him no time, even when they went back to see Morgan.
Some nerd out there has to have created a map of everything to date.....right? Would be cool to see everything from Atlanta to where they now in a map form
Everything after that is an Odyssey, so it makes sense, but he pretty much teleported from KY to ATL.

I’m pleasantly surprised how they made the talking walkers to actually be people. The walkers evolving shite almost had me walk away from the show.

How’s this season been? I stopped watching last season but plenty on the sub Reddit are saying this season has been pretty good.

Whisperers is the best part of comics

OK, so how do they explain this group? How do they eat, sleep whatnot in their skin suits?
And I'm just not buying into mega bitch lesbo as a leader of Hilltop. That character has seemed like a clumsy fat oaf the entire show. I can't imagine any person willingly following her leadership on anything. She's been a worthless pile of cellulite from the word go.

When daryl lit off those fireworks, how did the whisperers make the walkers not become attracted towards the sound?

The kids did mention Oceanside while hanging out, so I guess they lived.
MovieIdol claims that Kang has confirmed a flashback episode, so we will apparently get to see why they all hate each other now.

It looked to me like there are enough of them spread throughout the herd to be able to get out in front of the herd on any side and lead it away from whatever direction they're going. The herd doesn't think "I'm going to go over there and see who threw those firecrackers" and then go over and complete a thorough investigation. It just moves toward loud noise; once enough of the herd are distracted toward it, the rest just kinda follow. After the noise is over, I think the Walker suit guys are just getting back out in front of the herd and resteering it.

I won’t discuss comic in this thread

Like the new mysteries the show has now, but how forced is this new approach of women leading things environment. Come on!
We love The Walkin Dead but the forced SJW stuff, is over-the-top at times. Was just telling wife last week, that Jesus was the last man standing who's leading a group. So much for that after last nights episode and don't say what about the King? Carol has taken the kingdom over, lets be real. The strong man has been neutered unless you're the bad guy....
The spooky vibe was a nice touch and this new enemy looks intriguing. Stinks we have to wait until February though....grrr

Yep.. I accidentally spoiled the whisperers storyline, so I kind knew what was going to happen with that, but it was funny to watch people for a few weeks say shite like ‘if these zombies start talking, I’m OUT’
All you could do was tell them to hold on LOL

Oh yeah, guess RJ is real and not Michonne's imagination. Someone, I think Carol at hilltop, asked how RJ was doing.
Unless the groups are so out of touch after fallout, they don't know RJ is not around anymore....hmmmm

They need to fricking just tell us why there's friction between the settlements

its actually a very clever and very interesting development...the zombies are an existential/environmental threat, but they can be avoided and they act in predictable ways. when you add leadership/strategy/intent to them they become so much dangerous than any human adversary
so it appears that the whisperers keep a herd intact and "lead" them where they want them to go

I guess we're just going to be vaguely jerked around about whatever happened between Michonne and Maggie and everyone else. Maybe they just can't come with enough details to fill it in, so they resort to this.

They need to fricking just tell us why there's friction between the settlements. It's getting fricking old with them just dancing around it to artificially frick with the audience. It's tired and stunts like that were what pissed off fans in prior seasons. It the one shittastic part of this season that they just can't help themselves from doing. They need to have the taste slapped out of their mouths for doing that in what is otherwise a pretty damned good season so far.
All of this. It's very annoying that this group of people who were literally a family are now all strung out across the state and don't speak to each other. It just doesn't fit. And I agree that instead of even hinting at it, they just give us this tension without explanation and it sucks.
I have questions about this Whisperer crew and how that all works, but I am willing to suspend my belief in order to see their story. Also, I remember some assholes in the non-comic discussion threads YEARS ago spoiling the Whisperers thing to some degree. So in a weird way, I am glad that is finally here.
And like someone else said, I am glad they are just people faking as zombies, as evolving zombies was something I am not sure I could have put up with. And I have to say, the way they framed the Jesus scene made me wonder if one of the walkers would try to block his moves....and then one ducks under it and fricks him up. I was pissed at first, then they showed that they are humans so I was like oh okay.
Also agree that the "girl power" thing is getting really obnoxious now, but whatever. And someone also mentioned their disdain for this new deaf people group, which I agree with.
I don't know why, but the whole Darryl and "Dog" is hilarious to me.
This episode was better than recent ones have been. I don't like them pushing Michonne and Tara as centerpieces of the show, but whatever.
I'm interested to see where they take things with this new group and also with Negan being out.

Darryl and "dog" is like the old John Wayne movie Hondo, where a dog followed him everywhere but Wayne never claimed ownership. He was just dog. There was later a western TV series called Hondo, which also included the dog. Mean sumabitch.

I am interested in the Whisper's story line. I'm interested in how they survive. How do they sleep, how do they eat or drink, how do they take shelter in the winter.
I hope we get a glimpse of what life is like for them.
