I liked it though I thought there were some parts that were just silly

I'm black and I laughed my arse off at it. My wife and I crack jokes about the European Night Monkey. I even tried to find a night monkey shirt.
Now, I can only speak for myself, but I think you'd really have to be looking hard to be offended under the context of it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Great bad guy. Great cast. Pretty well paced. Zendaya was a 100 times better in this one than homecoming.
Only gripe is the lack of quips from Spidey. Also the score was really lacking. Far cry from the epic elfman score

What about the night monkey population? Have you considered their feelings you bigot?

I really didnt. You are right. I should consider their feelings too

I watched it today and I hate to say it but I am very "meh" on the movie.
The big reveal of Mysterio being evil was not even remotely surprising so I am very disappointed that they allowed it to take up so much of the movie. I get wanting to push the relationship with Peter and Beck as a parallel to Stark and Peter but when you are waiting for the reveal you know is coming, it really lessens all of it.
Plus I can't be the only one annoyed at how quickly Beck's team was ok with child murdering? I get the idea of wanting revenge on Stark for how they were treated, and I can even buy them minimizing attacking foreign countries since it is a "them" not "us" reasoning, but damn they had no problem with killing kids.
The acting was fine, and I thought everyone did great jobs. I didn't hate MJ as much as I thought I would. Ned was great again and I really liked how they showed the impact of the Snap. The big fight with the drones was just a blur. I get that it looked cool, but honestly it was Spider-Man fighting a faceless army in a big CGI battle that we have seen dozens of times. Comic book movies always seems to have the hero fight a villain with same powers or big disposable army.
The post credit scenes were kind of a mixed bag for me. I get that they could be setting up some stuff for future movies but the movie goes from Spider-Man possibly being the new leader of the Avengers to now a cold-blooded killer and criminal? The public is really going to flip that easy despite the huge evidence that Mysterio was a fake.
The last one with the Skrulls was just great, but why now is Fury in space with the Skrulls? We last saw them in the 90s looking for a home world. Did Marvel bring the Skrull with her? Did Talos always stay on Earth? I really enjoyed the idea of it, but it was not set up at all.
Overall I enjoyed the movie. But man it certainly had some issues. I feel like all I needed to see was the post credit scenes and I would be set for Phase 4.
Oh and I was going to throw up if they beat me over the head any more with the message that Iron Man is dead and that Peter misses him. Was it me or did they have an image or symbol of Iron Man every three scenes?

MF, I watched Homecoming today and it was god awful save for Keaton.
Gyllenhaal is one of my favorite actors working today. Is this one worth checking out?

You can move Holland out, move Morales in, and maybe do something where you have Tobey's Spider-Man come in from a different universe to mentor him like in the comics.
They already made they movie last year, and it was awesome

Yeah, I know. I was thinking more of the comic story line where Mysterio was actually traveling through the different Earth Worlds.

I really enjoyed it. Friends I was with thought it was just pretty good. If you're familiar with Spiderman lore you kinda already know what's gonna happen

I remember killing Mysterio in Spider-Man 64 so I know he’s a bad guy
I’ll give it a shot

Does his identity even need to be hidden? Worked out ok for Tony.

He’s young, and has a lot of friends that his enemies would want to harm to get to him. I think he does need to hide his identity to protect his family and friends.
Also Tony Stark has a lot more ways to protect his loved ones than Peter does.

Maybe he can team up with a skroll to appear at the same time as Spiderman to prove Mysterio was lying.

Beck's team weren't unwitting helpers or stooges. They were ALL villains.

I think Spider-Man and I guess Ant-Man were the only 2 MCU heroes that had secret identities.

Bella Thorne was cute in Blended when they got her away from the Tomboy look. The House of Mouse hates firecrotches for whatever reason.
I dunno what she looked like before, but Thorne looks all of a white trash, trailer park junky now. Hard pass. She’s not in the class of model looks for MJ. Nor had the acting ability for the role.
