Just finished a S5 rewatch.

Where we leave off:

Spoilers

Good job with recap...

I've watched seasons 1-5 again in recent weeks just to be sure I'm ready for season 6... man I can't wait.

One thing, which has nothing to do with the thread really, I found myself fast forwarding thru all the scenes with Chuck. I guess because I knew what was going to happen but man they spent alot of time on that storyline. but I guess we needed that to show why Jimmy is Jimmy...

Honestly, I probably should spend the next week watching the first few seasons of BB.. I don't remember much from the entire series since I watched so long ago.

Anyway, I'm as exited as anyone for the release of season 6!!

edited to add---- this is gonna be a long thread by the time the season is over.

that whole scene was weird. I know it's supposed to be tense for the viewer but that cab driver seemed off. Like he didn't just seem like a fan from back in NM he was talking pretty strangely and he had that guy with him who was silent and jsut stared the whole time. I wonder if there's more to that story than what's on the surfaace

He is going to blackmail Saul. Why did Gus thwart Bolsa's attempt to hijack the bail money and leave Lalo in jail? For the bungling hit attempt? Because Lalo would eventually get out anyway? Thought it weird Bolsa and Gus were working toward the same goals but without each others knowledge.

You can just start with the first Saul episode if you're only watching for the benefit of BCS.

He wanted Lalo alive and out of jail so he could have him killed.

He was still calling shots from inside prison, like having nacho burn down the restaurant.

Wait Bolsa tried to hijack the money it just a couple of rogue underlings thinking they’d score it big?

It seems out of character for bolsa to hit the salamancas like that.

Yeah Bolsa hired some Colombian thugs. He was trying to help Gus out because Lalo was trying to destroy him.

Yes. Bolas wanted Lalo in prison so he was out of the way.

Gus wanted him out of jail so he could be killed and stop interfering in his business.

That's what i figured. However, would have been better to try to hit Lalo in prison in hindsight. Maybe too much cartel muscle in prison. Is Tuco still in prison at this point?

Especially weird considering that (assuming the teaser promos are considered "canon") that Saul apparently has a 5 million dollar reward out for him.

I believe so. He isn't in season 5 at all so I assume he's still in prison.

Yeah I remember someone telling Hector that Tuco cut someone and beat up a guard or something along those lines and Hector freaked out.

Yeah, pretty sure we will get more Gene action than a couple 5 minute intros. I could see the final episode being almost entirely about Gene.

Pretty much exactly what I had in mind as well.

In BB it sounded as if Tuco had recently been released, but it wasn't real definitive on how recent.
