True. But Jesse also did make him think that his wife was in the hospital due to an accident.

Now that I'm married, I'd be tempted to beat the shite out of a little pos who did that too.

Yeah
Let’s give the federal agent a break for committing a violent felony, then falsifying his report to make his victims out to be felons.
He’s a good guy

I think it's hilarious that you use one single instance of him fricking up and doing a bad thing and then using that to paint the man as a "bad guy".

I couldn’t imagine needing more of an explanation than the instance I gave. It was kinda the low hanging fruit.

Actually, that was Walt and Saul

Hank just thought it was Jesse
So, nearly beating him to death is just fine

It was always a love story about regret. It also had cartels and murder. Fan for life.

Shortly after that when the Twins attacked Hank, that was probably one of the most "oh shite" moments id seen on TV at that point. They built anxiety really well in that whole situation.

Show was great at doing that, also like when Jesse was about to have it out with the dealers.

S3 was great.

You do know that there is such a thing as a tragic hero right? There is also such a thing as irony of growing sympathy towards characters in a book, play, or movie who you would not normally mix with in the real world.

One rather trivial question:

Cheryl Hamlin was rather well fixed after Howard’s death. No doubt the mansion was paid for and they probably had millions in investments, etc. And she was what, a psychiatrist who was still knocking down big bucks on her own?

Still, could another result of Kim’s confession have been that Howard had a giant life insurance policy that Cheryl, as beneficiary, could not have drawn while Howard’s death was ruled a suicide, but that she could draw after it was determined he was murdered?

Or hell, with no physical evidence, the insurance company might be on a solid legal foundation to stand pat and say all the physical evidence points to a suicide and our cause-of-death conclusion isn’t changing.

Yes, and interesting bit of conscientiousness on Saul’s part that his first phone call is to Cinnabon about the rotations and “you’re gonna need a new manager.”

I felt the cartel portion of the show was superior to BB. I had trouble buying into Walt and his faux badass persona while characters like Lalo and Nacho were very believable.

Agree. I've said from the beginning that a back story of Gus, Mike, and the cartel would have been better w/ Saul a collateral story instead of the lead.

This just depends on what kind of story you want. BB had already been the kill everyone, cartel kind of show. BCS is totally different from that. Gus, Mike, and the cartels would have been pretty much the same as BB...just a different time period with different characters.

My favorite parts of BCS were not the cartel parts. My favorite parts were Jimmy and Kim, Chuck, Howard...the whole story of how Jimmy gets to where he is and the same for Kim. I loved their characters. I rooted for Jimmy and Kim and hated Chuck and Howard. I'll miss the show.

Exactly. Thx for putting into words my sentiments. You did a better job than I would have.

Aside from Walt Jr. and Marion, there were very few "good" people in both of these shows. If they weren't high level criminals and murderers, they were hit men, low level street thugs, cheating wives, accomplices, thieves, junkies, drug dealers, cartel members, crooked attorneys, cops on the take or just people you'd never want to be around.

Come now, Howard was kind of a complex character.

Sure, he could be a pompous arse. And I thought he’d be the main villain/antagonist of the show until the episode when he told Kim to “close the door” of his office and told her that he actually wanted to hire Jimmy as an HHM attorney and it was Chuck against it.

All in all, Howard Hamlin was a fairly decent guy.

It seems like you don't enjoy either show whatsoever so I can understand that you forgot the details.

Just watched the final episode. It was a fitting end to one of the best TV series ever. Having Kim and Jimmy share a cigarette like they used to do outside of the HHM building was just sublime. Jimmy finally proving to himself (and Chuck) that he was capable of change was a tragic, but somewhat uplifting, end.
