My feeling on Better Call Saul:

Right on the edge of my seat, only to be let down time and time again. The finale was fitting.

The Nazis killed prick Hank and smug Gomez so I'm not following how Saul would be involved. Did he even know about them? It's been so long ago I don't even recall.

The Feds overreach habitually so it doesn't matter much.

They were charging him under the umbrella of RICO, and the feds can do some pretty creative shite with RICO.

so i’m lost and didn’t know the Ham Solo prediction, what exactly did he predict, because i’ve been wondering, and i just waited until it was over to actually ask?

the second he was arrested and no longer Gene it should have gone color.

yes.. if it was black/white bc of "Gene", but it was black/white due to it being post BB. How many times are y'all going to bring this up.

This is the equivalent of Ham saying he was "close". Sure, they could've changed it from black/white bc he was no longer "gene"... but they didn't.

Jimmy + Kim = Saul was the main prediction among other stuff.

Anyone with a thought contradicting his theories were called retards , simpletons, etc (someone has receipts in the other thread)

So now everyone that has an opinion that you don't agree with is "like Ham"?

To most rational people it was clear as day that you were wrong

To be fair, it wasn't clear until this season. There were so many shots of Jimmy and Kim sharing a cigarette where he is directly in the sunlight and she is intentionally in the shadows. Once can be ignored. Three times, and they're hinting at something. It's apparent now they were hinting towards something completely different, but that was by no means clear in the earlier years of the series.

I didn’t like how Marie painted Hank as this loving guy who would do anything for anyone. Did he deserve to die? Of course not. But he was a condescending a-hole to Walt from the very beginning.

I took it as Saul's/Gene's/Jimmy's world was drained of everything. Including color.

Everything he had was gone and past what once was. When I think of the past irl, happier times they always seem brighter and more colorful. The summer days back in the day seemed more comfortable, etc.

Of course she is going to, that how she remembers him and chooses the best qualities to remember. Hank wasn't a bad guy, he was insecure at times but was a great cop who would have done anything for someone he loved.

Walt intimidated hank imo. Hank knew he wasn't as smart as Walter so he had to project strength. But he considered Walter family and would have always had his back. Walter really wasn't a good guy to hank if we're being honest lol

But yeah, he immediately considered Walter when Jr called him instead of his dad for the beer bust.

The biggest difference for me between BB and BCS was the fact I actually liked most of the characters on BCS.

BB not so much. Really didn't like any of the characters other than Saul, Mike and Gus.

Hank and Gomez were both condescending pricks
Walt was an arse with his faux badass act and his idea that anything can be solved by talking
Jessie was a bitch
Skylar was a count
Marie was a pushy busybody

etc etc

I've tried rewatching BB and Walt just grates on me every time he speaks. Like nails on a chalkboard.

I get that & it would've made sense, but it seems pretty obvious to me (since they never switched to color) that it was simply a timeline thing. We can agree to disagree

how exactly was hank a "bad guy"? Overzealous, sure. Abrasive, yeah. Bad though? He was a law enforcement agent whose entire life's work was bringing down ACTUAL bad guys and getting drugs off the street. Just because he was the opposition to walt doesn't mean he was bad.

There's some background that wasn't delved into. How would they even know that. Not like anyone was interviewed about that. Think it's a reach.

Something I hadn't thought about before; Do the Feds even know the Nazis killed Hank or do they think Walt did?

I know Walt denied it saying he tried to stop it but that doesn't mean much.

IIRC the last the feds heard about it was the Ozymandias phone call where he says "that's why I killed Hank" or something like that. Skyler knows he didn't but unless she told them, they still think Walt did it. Saul has no idea either way

ehhhh, i wouldn't go that far. he was a little condescending to Walt, but to be fair Walt played along with that role. He was a pushover before he started cooking meth.
